The King this morning officially opened 8 Doors Distillery, John O'Groats, Wick, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Caithness (the Viscount Thurso) and the Co-Founders (Mr. and Mrs. Derek Campbell).

His Majesty toured the still room, tasting room and cask store, and met members of staff.

The King afterwards met members of the John O'Groats business community and local artisan food producers at the Old Forge and was received by the Chairman of John O'Groats Community Council (Mr. Andrew Mowat).

By command of The King, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Claudio Frederico de Matos Arruda at the Embassy of Brazil, 14-16 Cockspur Street, London SW1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Court of St. James's.

The Princess Royal, Royal Honorary Member, Royal Yacht Squadron, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, having been received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the Isle of Wight (Mrs. Susan Sheldon), this afternoon viewed Cowes Week Racing and met Squadron Staff.

Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, afterwards visited HMS TYNE and The Royal Navy Stand at Cowes Week, Cowes.

The Princess Royal, Royal Honorary Member, Royal Yacht Squadron, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, subsequently attended a Church Service at Holy Trinity Church, Queens Road, Cowes.

Her Royal Highness, Royal Honorary Member, Royal Yacht Squadron, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, this evening attended a Reception for Members, Racing Crews, Flag Officers and Sailing Associates at the Royal Yacht Squadron, Cowes.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this afternoon attended the King George Day at Ascot Racecourse, Berkshire.

The Princess Royal this morning visited ships in Lerwick Harbour taking part in the Tall Ships Races and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Shetland (Mr. Robert Hunter).

The Duke of Gloucester, President, British Expertise International, this afternoon received Mr. David Landsman (Executive Chairman) and Mr. Peter O'Kane (Chairman, Strategy International Limited).

Mr. Simon Hickling was received by The King this afternoon upon relinquishing his appointment as Deputy Land Agent, Sandringham Estate, when His Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Member of the Royal Victorian Order.

The King this evening held a Reception at Sandringham House for Leaders in Agriculture.

The King was represented by Mr. Robert Waley-Cohen (Deputy Lieutenant of Warwickshire) at the Funeral Service of Lieutenant Colonel George Alston-Roberts-West (former Comptroller, Lord Chamberlain's Office) which was held at St. Mary's Church, Preston on Stour, Warwickshire, today.
