Buckingham Palace

Mr. Simon Hickling was received by The King this afternoon upon relinquishing his appointment as Deputy Land Agent, Sandringham Estate, when His Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Member of the Royal Victorian Order.

The King this evening held a Reception at Sandringham House for Leaders in Agriculture.

By command of His Majesty, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Moazzam Ahmad Khan at 35-36 Lowndes Square, London SW1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as High Commissioner for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in London.

The King was represented by Mr. Robert Waley-Cohen (Deputy Lieutenant of Warwickshire) at the Funeral Service of Lieutenant Colonel George Alston-Roberts-West (former Comptroller, Lord Chamberlain's Office) which was held at St. Mary's Church, Preston on Stour, Warwickshire, today.

St. James's Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh, Royal Honorary Colonel, The Royal Wessex Yeomanry, was represented by Colonel the Rt. Hon. Simon Hart MP (Honorary Colonel) at the Memorial Service for Colonel David Lowsley-Williams (formerly Second Commanding Officer) which was held at the Parish Church of St. Mary the Virgin and St. Mary Magdalen, Church Street, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, this afternoon.

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal this evening attended the Tall Ships Races Captains' Dinner at Lerwick Town Hall, Hillhead, Lerwick, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Shetland (Mr. Robert Hunter).

Her Royal Highness was represented by Mrs. Brian Hammond (Lady in Waiting to The Princess Royal) at the Memorial Service for Mr. David Lowsley-Williams which was held at the Parish Church of St. Mary the Virgin and St. Mary Magdalen, Church Street, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, this afternoon.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning attended the Royal British Legion's Remembrance Service on Horse Guards Parade, London SW1, to commemorate the Seventieth Anniversary of the end of the Korean War.

Sandringham, Norfolk

The King and Queen this morning visited Sandringham Flower Show.

The King was represented by the Earl of Dalhousie at the Memorial Service for The Earl of Crawford and Balcarres KT which was held in St. Salvator's Chapel, University of St. Andrews, St. Andrews, Fife, today.

The Princess Royal was represented by the Lord Cullen of Whitekirk KT.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy was represented by the Lord Steel of Aikwood KT.

Buckingham Palace

The King this evening attended a "Music in Country Churches" Concert at St. Mary's Church, Snettisham, Norfolk, and was received by the Chairman of Music in Country Churches (Mr. Matthew Rice), Dr. Philip Burnett (Director) and the Vicar (the Reverend Daniel Tansey).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Three Choirs Festival, and The Duchess of Gloucester this evening attended a performance of 'A Song on the End of the World' in Gloucester Cathedral and were received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Mr. Edward Gillespie).

Buckingham Palace

The King this afternoon visited Lincolnshire Coronation Coast National Nature Reserve, based at Saltfleetby and Theddlethorpe, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire (Mr. Toby Dennis).

His Majesty, escorted by the Chairman of Natural England (Dr. Anthony Juniper), proceeded to a platform to view scenery across the reserve before meeting representatives of organisations partnering the reserve and members of staff.

The King afterwards visited Lincolnshire Poacher Cheese, Ulceby Grange Farm, Ulceby, near Alford, and was received by Mr. Simon Jones (Owner).

His Majesty met members of Mr. Jones' family before viewing the cheese milling process, meeting members of staff and viewing cheese turning.

The King later visited the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at Royal Air Force Coningsby, Dogdyke Road, Coningsby, Lincolnshire, to mark the Eightieth Anniversary of Operation Chastise (the Dambusters Raid) and was received by the Station Commander (Group Captain William Cooper).

His Majesty, escorted by the Station Commander and Group Captain Lewis Cunningham (Commander Hawk/Display), walked to the Battle of Britain Flight hangar and was received by Squadron Leader Mark Sugden (Officer Commanding the Flight) before meeting members of the Battle of Britain Flight staff and veterans of the Second World War.

The King subsequently met 29 Squadron in front of Typhoons.

The Queen this afternoon visited Redwings Horse Sanctuary, Anna Sewell House, 26 Church Plain, Great Yarmouth, and was received by Mr. Henry Cator (Deputy Lieutenant of Norfolk).

Her Majesty later visited Monica Vinader Limited, 1-8 Holkham Studios, Longlands, Holkham Estate, near Wells-next-the-Sea, and, having been received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk (the Lady Dannatt), presented The Queen's Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development for 2022 to the company.

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Three Choirs Festival, and The Duchess of Gloucester this evening attended a performance of "the Faerie Bride" in Gloucester Cathedral and were received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Mr. Edward Gillespie).

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended a Dinner at the Royal Ocean Racing Club Cowes Clubhouse, the Parade, Cowes, to celebrate the Fiftieth Edition of the Fastnet Race and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Isle of Wight (Mrs. Susan Sheldon).
