The Princess Royal this morning joined the Ship's Company of HMS ALBION at sea off the west coast of Scotland.

The King and Queen today visited Brecon Cathedral to mark the Centenary of the Diocese and were received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Powys (Mrs. Tia Jones), the Rt. Hon. Mark Drakeford MS (First Minister of Wales), the Bishop of Swansea and Brecon and Miss Michaela Davies (Mayor of Brecon).

Their Majesties, escorted by the Very Reverend Dr. Paul Shackerley (Dean of Brecon) and the Very Reverend Canon Steven Griffith (Residentiary Canon and Precentor), met Cathedral staff, members of the congregation and representatives from across the Diocese, before listening to a musical performance by the Royal Welsh School of Music and Drama, also marking the first day of Brecon Choir Festival.

The King and Queen this afternoon visited Brecknock Agricultural Society's Show and, having been received by the President of Brecknockshire Agricultural Society (Mrs. Edna Walters) and Mr. Alan Roberts (Chairman), met exhibitors and viewed livestock, before walking to Theatr Brycheiniog, Canal Wharf, Brecon.

Having been received by the Chairman of Theatr Brycheiniog (Mr. Andrew Collinson) and Ms. Emma Flatley (Director Designate), Their Majesties attended a Reception for members of the local community, and volunteering and rescue services.

The King afterwards visited 160 Brigade at Brecon Barracks, was received by the Brigade Commander (Brigadier Nicholas Thomas) and attended a Reception.

The Queen afterwards met representatives and staff from Calan DVS domestic abuse charity.

By command of The King, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Pharidh Kan at the Embassy of Cambodia, 64 Brondesbury Park, London NW6, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Court of St. James's.

By command of His Majesty, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps afterwards called upon His Excellency Dr. Michael Zimmermann at 18 Belgrave Square, London SW1, in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Austria to the Court of St. James's.

The Right Reverend David Connor was received by The King at Windsor Castle this morning upon relinquishing his appointment as Dean of The King's Free Chapel of St. George at Windsor Castle, Domestic Chaplain, and Register of the Order of the Garter when His Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.

The King, Duke of Lancaster this afternoon received Sir Alan Reid (Chairman of the Council of the Duchy of Lancaster) and Mr. Nathan Thompson (Chief Executive Officer).

The King held a Council at 4.00 p.m..

By command of The King, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps this afternoon called upon His Excellency Mr. Genaro Vicente Pappalardo Ayala at 81-83 Cromwell Road, London SW7, in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Paraguay to the Court of St. James's.

His Royal Highness later visited the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution, 16-18 Queen Square, Bath, and was received by Mr. Edward Allen (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset).

The Duchess of Edinburgh, President, the Driffield Agricultural Society, this morning visited the Driffield Show and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire (Mr. James Dick).

The Princess Royal, Patron, the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, this morning visited Citizens Advice Cardiff and Vale, 119-121 Broad Street, Barry, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of South Glamorgan (Mrs. Morfudd Meredith).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Butler Trust, this afternoon visited HM Prison Cardiff, Knox Road, Cardiff, South Glamorgan.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited Costello Medical Centre, 50-60 Station Road, Cambridge, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire (Mrs. Julie Spence).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Lower Valley Farm, Longfield Farm, Newmarket Road, Cambridge.

The Duke of Gloucester subsequently opened Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust's Resource Centre at Elizabeth House, Fulbourn Hospital, Fulbourn, Cambridge.

His Royal Highness later visited Madingley Hall, Madingley, Cambridge, to mark the One Hundredth Anniversary of the University of Cambridge International Summer Programmes and the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the Institute of Continuing Education.

The King and Queen this evening held a performance by the Royal Shakespeare Company and a Reception at Windsor Castle to celebrate the Four Hundredth Anniversary of the publication of the First Folio and the contribution of William Shakespeare's Works to the Literary Culture and Society of the United Kingdom.

The Duchess of Edinburgh and The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were present.

The Queen, Patron, The Queen's Reading Room, this afternoon received Miss Victoria Perrin (Director) at Windsor Castle.

Her Royal Highness Patron, the Remembrance Trust, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this afternoon visited St. James's Cemetery, Old Charlton Road, Dover, Kent.

The Princess Royal, Royal Patron, National Coastwatch Institution, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, later visited Folkestone Station, Copt Point, Wear Bay Road, Folkestone, Kent, to mark its Twenty Fifth Anniversary, followed by a Reception at Folkestone Yacht and Motorboat Club, the Harbour, North Street, Folkestone.
