    His Royal Highness, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys), this afternoon attended a Drumhead Service in the garden of the Palace of Holyroodhouse to mark the Fiftieth Anniversary of the formation of the Regiment.

    The Duke of Kent was present at the Service of Celebration for the Life of the Lady Mary Colman which was held in Norwich Cathedral this afternoon.

    His Royal Highness, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys), this evening attended a Dinner at the New Club, 86 Princes Street, Edinburgh, to commemorate the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Regiment's formation.

    The Duke of Kent, Patron, this evening attended a Promenade Concert given by the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Gore, London SW7, and subsequently received Mr. Vladimir Jurowski upon relinquishing his appointment as Principal Conductor.

    The Duke of Kent, President, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, and The Countess of Wessex, Patron, the Java Far East Prisoners of War Club 1942, this morning visited Brookwood Military Cemetery (owned by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission), Woking, to commemorate VJ Day, where His Royal Highness laid a wreath and Her Royal Highness laid flowers, and were received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Mr. Michael More-Molyneux).
