    The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, today attended a Service at Port Ellen War Memorial, Isle of Islay, marking the Centenary of the loss of SS TUSCANIA and HMS OTRANTO followed by a Reception at Ramsay Hall, Port Ellen, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Argyll and Bute (Mr. Patrick Stewart). Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, this afternoon visited the Commonwealth War Graves at Kilnaughton Cemetery, Kildalton and Oa, Isle of Islay. The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, later visited the American Monument, Mull of Oa, Isle of Islay. Her Royal Highness, Patron, First World War Centenary Woods Project, afterwards dedicated the wood at Dunlossit Estate, Ballygrant, Isle of Islay, and was received by Dr. Grace Gibson (Deputy Lieutenant of Argyll and Bute).

    His Excellency Mr. Tran Ngoc An was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Court of St. James's. Mrs. Doan Thi Phuong Dung was also received by Her Majesty. His Excellency Mr. Rui Jorge Carneiro Mangueira was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Angola to the Court of St. James's. Mrs. Maria Silvina Caetano was also received by Her Majesty. Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present. The Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry was received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Brethren of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle. The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by Mrs. Michael Gordon Lennox (Lady in Waiting) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Lieutenant Commander Robert de Pass RN which was held at St. Mary's Church, Petworth, West Sussex, this afternoon.

Theresa May MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening. Mr. John Williams (Deputy Lieutenant of West Sussex) was present at Gatwick Airport, London, this morning of upon the Arrival of the Governor-General of St. Lucia and Lady Cenac and welcomed Their Excellencies on behalf of The Queen.
