His Excellency Mr. Ravshan Usmanov was received in audience by The King this afternoon and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Court of St. James's.

Mrs. Usmanova was also received by His Majesty.

His Excellency Mr. Léopold Tonguenoma Bonkoungou was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Burkina Faso to the Court of St. James's.

Mrs. Bonkoungou Ouedraogo was also received by His Majesty.

Sir Philip Barton (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs) was present.

The King, Patron, this evening attended a Gala Performance at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London WC2, to mark Sir Antonio Pappano's twenty two-year tenure as Music Director, and was received by Mr. Stuart Shilson (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London), the Chairman of the Royal Opera House (Sir Lloyd Dorfman) and Mr. Alexander Beard (Chief Executive).

The Queen, Patron, the Charleston Trust, this morning visited Charleston Literary Festival, Charleston House, Firle, and, having been received by Mr. Graham Peters (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of East Sussex), attended a talk entitled "the Power of Reading" and a Reception.

Her Majesty this afternoon met representatives of local organisations and community groups at the Parish Church of St. Mary, Church Square, Rye, and was received by Mrs. Sarah Kowitz (Deputy Lieutenant of East Sussex).

The Queen afterwards visited Lamb House, West Street, Rye, and attended a Reception for the E.F. Benson Society, the Friends of Tilling and National Trust volunteers.

By command of His Majesty, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Manoah Esipisu at 45 Portland Place, London W1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as High Commissioner for the Republic of Kenya in London.

Her Excellency Dame Cynthia Pratt was received by The King this afternoon upon assuming her appointment as Governor-General of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.

The Queen this afternoon held a Reception at Buckingham Palace to recognise those who support survivors of sexual assault and to mark the relaunch of Her Majesty's Wash Bags project.

The King, Patron, Cancer Research UK, and Patron, Macmillan Cancer Support, and The Queen this morning visited University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre, Huntley Street, London WC1, and were received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), the Chairman of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (Rabbi the Baroness Neuberger), the Chief Executive Officer of Cancer Research UK (Ms. Michelle Mitchell) and the Chief Executive Officer of Macmillan Cancer Support (Ms. Gemma Peters).

Their Majesties, escorted by the Chairman and Mr. David Probert (Chief Executive, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust), toured the Centre, viewing equipment and meeting patients and their families, clinicians and nursing staff, and charity representatives.

The King and The Queen, Patron, this evening gave a Reception for the London Clinic at Clarence House.
