Her Excellency Mrs. Carmen Maria Gallardo Hernández was received in audience by The King today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of El Salvador to the Court of St. James's.

Mr. F. Xavier Hernández was also received by His Majesty.

His Excellency Archbishop Miguel Maury Buendía was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Apostolic Nuncio from the Holy See to the Court of St. James's.

Sir Philip Barton (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs) was present.

His Majesty this afternoon presented the Queen Elizabeth II Design Award for British Design at 180 Studios, 180 Strand, London WC2, and was received by Mr. Stuart Shilson (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London), the President and Chief Executive Officer, British Fashion Council (Mrs. Caroline Rush), Mr. David Pemsel (Director, British Fashion Council) and the Lord Mayor of the City of Westminster (Councillor Patricia McAllister).

The King met recipients of scholarships and designer support schemes, leading figures in the fashion industry and those championing sustainable fashion, before visiting the studio of the winner.

The Queen, Patron, National Literacy Trust, this morning received Mr. Giles Brandreth (Trustee, The Queen's Reading Room).

Her Majesty, Patron, National Literacy Trust, this afternoon visited Shirehampton Primary School, St. Mary's Walk, Shirehampton, to celebrate the Coronation Libraries Programme and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the County and City of Bristol (Mrs. Peaches Golding).

The King and Queen this morning visited St. Paul's Church, Bedford Street, London WC2, to mark its Three Hundred and Ninetieth Anniversary and were received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa) and the Rector (the Reverend Simon Grigg).

Their Majesties, escorted by the Rector, entered the Church via the Diamond Jubilee Garden and met trustees, churchwardens and members of Church staff.

The King met representatives from the Covent Garden Community Association, actors and members of the theatre community.

The Queen met representatives from the Drama for Healing Group.

Their Majesties afterwards walked through the West Piazza and were received at the Apple Market by the Chief Executive Officer of Shaftesbury Capital (Mr. Ian Hawksworth).

The King, escorted by the Chief Executive Officer, and The Queen, escorted by Ms. Michelle McGrath (Executive Director, Shaftesbury Capital), visited stallholders in Covent Garden Market before continuing on foot towards the Royal Opera House and being received at the Colonnade by the Chairman of the Royal Opera House (Sir Lloyd Dorfman) and meeting performers, students of the Royal Ballet School and members of Royal Opera House staff.

The King this afternoon held a Reception for The Prince's Trust Awards at Buckingham Palace.

The Rt. Hon. Chloe Smith MP made affirmation, kissed hands upon appointment and received the Seal of Office as Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology.

Mr. Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt. Hon. Penelope Mordaunt MP had an audience of His Majesty before the Council.

The Rt. Hon. Humza Yousaf MSP (First Minister of the Scottish Government) was received in audience by The King.

His Excellency Mr. João Paulo da Costa Rangel was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to the Court of St. James's.

Mr. Vinod Tailor (Deputy Lieutenant of Bedfordshire) was present at London Luton Airport this morning upon the Arrival of The President of Ukraine and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of The King.

His Majesty was represented by Mrs. Jane MacLeod (His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Argyll and Bute) at the Funeral of Mr. Kenneth MacKinnon (formerly Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Argyll and Bute) which was held at Warriston Crematorium, Edinburgh, this afternoon.

The Princess Royal was represented by Mrs. Malcolm Innes.

The King today broke ground on the new Whittle Laboratory, 1 JJ Thomson Avenue, Cambridge, which aims to serve as the leading global public-private sector hub focused on rapidly progressing the development of zero carbon flight systems and technologies. He was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire (Mrs. Julie Spence), The Lord-Lieutenant Cadet (Cadet Olivia Corner), the High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire (Dr. Bharatkumar Khetani), the Secretary of State for the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (The Rt Hon Grant Shapps MP), Minister of State, Department of Science, Innovation and Technology (Mr. George Freeman MP), the Ambassador from the United Arab Emirates (His Excellency Mr. Mansoor Abulhoul), the High Commissioner for the Republic of Rwanda (His Excellency Mr. Johnston Busingye), Chair of Cambridgeshire County Council (Councillor Stephen Ferguson), the Mayor of Cambridge (Councillor Mark Ashton), the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge (Dr. Anthony Freeling) and the Vice-Chancellor Elect of the University of Cambridge (Professor Deborah Prentice). His Majesty, escorted by the Director of the Whittle Laboratory (Professor Robert Miller) toured the High-Speed Laboratory to view some of the latest aviation technologies and models for sustainable flight. The King subsequently attended a roundtable and met public, private and academic leaders from the aviation and energy sectors, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (N.A.S.A) and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.).

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The King, and The Princess of Wales gave an Afternoon Party in the garden of Buckingham Palace to celebrate the Coronation of The King and Queen.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal and The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were present.

His Majesty's Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen-at-Arms and The King's Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were on duty.

The British Army Band Tidworth and the Central Band of The Royal Air Force played selections of music during the afternoon.

The Coronation of The King and Queen took place in Westminster Abbey today.

Their Majesties left Buckingham Palace at 10.20 o'clock this morning and proceeded in State to the Abbey, escorted by a Sovereign's Escort of the Household Cavalry, with Standard, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Armitage (The Life Guards).

The Archbishop of Canterbury conducted the Service.

The King later held a Reception at Buckingham Palace for visiting Heads of State and Overseas Guests at which The Prince and Princess of Wales, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and The Duke of Kent were present.
