The Princess Royal, Colonel, The Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons), this evening attended a Dinner at Drapers' Hall, Throgmorton Avenue, London EC2.

Kensington Palace

The Prince of Wales, President, the Football Association, this afternoon visited St George's Park, Newborough Road, Needwood, Burton-on-Trent, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Mr. Ian Dudson).

The Princess of Wales, Patron, the National Portrait Gallery, this morning officially reopened the newly renovated National Portrait Gallery, St. Martin's Place, London WC2, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Wellington Trust, was represented by Captain Sir Nicholas Wright RN (Extra Equerry to Her Royal Highness) at the Service of Thanksgiving for Captain Stephen Taylor RN (formerly Chairman) which was held in St. Bartholomew's Church, Habin Hill, Rogate, Petersfield, Hampshire, today.

Windsor Castle

The King, accompanied by The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of York, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal, The Duke of Gloucester, and The Duke of Kent today held a Chapter of the Most Noble Order of the Garter in the Throne Room, Windsor Castle.

The Princess of Wales, The Duchess of Edinburgh, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence and The Duchess of Gloucester were present.

The Baroness Ashton of Upholland and the Lord Patten of Barnes were present.

The following Knights Companion were present: the Lord Butler of Brockwell, the Rt. Hon. Sir John Major, the Lord Phillips of Worth Matravers, Marshal of the Royal Air Force the Lord Stirrup, the Lady Manningham Buller, the Lord King of Lothbury, the Viscount Brookeborough, Lady Mary Fagan, the Marquess of Salisbury, Lady Mary Peters, the Baroness Amos and the Rt. Hon. Sir Tony Blair.

The Officers of the Order were: the Dean of Windsor (Register), Mr. David White (Garter King of Arms), Miss Sarah Clarke (Lady Usher of the Black Rod) and Mr. Patric Dickinson (Secretary).

Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Segrave (Secretary, Central Chancery of the Orders of Knighthood) and Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Thompson (Equerry to The King) were in attendance.

His Majesty invested the Baroness Ashton of Upholland with the Insignia of a Lady Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter and the Lord Patten of Barnes with the Insignia of a Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter.

The King later gave a Luncheon Party for the Companions of the Most Noble Order of the Garter at which The Queen, The Prince and Princess of Wales, The Duke of York, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and The Duke of Kent were present.

An Installation Service was held in St. George's Chapel this afternoon at which the Baroness Ashton of Upholland and the Lord Patten of Barnes were installed as a Lady Companion and a Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter.

His Majesty's Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms and The King's Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were on duty in the Chapel.

The King was represented by Sir Kenneth Olisa (His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London) at the Funeral of Sir David Brewer KG (formerly His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London and Lord Mayor of London) which was held in the Chapel Royal, St. James's Palace, this morning.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were represented by Mrs. Angus Galletley.

The Princess Royal was represented by Mrs. Susanna Cross.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy was represented by Mrs. Diane Duke.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Patron, England Hockey, this afternoon attended the Men's Hockey Match between Great Britain and Germany at Lee Walley Hockey and Tennis Centre, Eton Manor, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Leadmill Lane, London E20.

Buckingham Palace

His Majesty was present at The King's Birthday Parade on Horse Guards Parade this morning at which The King's Colour of the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards was Trooped.

The King was accompanied by The Queen (Colonel, Grenadier Guards), The Duke of Kent (Colonel, Scots Guards), The Prince of Wales (Colonel, Welsh Guards), The Princess of Wales (Colonel, Irish Guards), The Princess Royal (Gold Stick in Waiting and Colonel, The Blues and Royals, Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons) and The Duke of Edinburgh (Royal Honorary Colonel, 1st Battalion London Guards).

His Majesty was attended by Lieutenant General Sir Edward Smyth-Osbourne (Colonel, The Life Guards), Lieutenant General Sir James Bucknall (Colonel, Coldstream Guards) and Major General Christopher Ghika (Major General Commanding Household Division).

The Lord de Mauley (Master of the Horse), Colonel Toby Browne, Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Segrave, (Mounted Equerries in Waiting), Lieutenant Colonel Michael Vernon, Captain James Boggis-Rolfe (Dismounted Equerries in Waiting) and Colonel Mark Berry (The Life Guards, Silver Stick in Waiting) were in attendance.

Colonel Jeremy Bagshaw (Chief of Staff), Lieutenant Colonel Ralph Griffin (Silver Stick Adjutant) and the Household Division Staff were present.

The Procession was led by Lieutenant Colonel James Shaw, Grenadier Guards (Brigade Major Household Division).

The troops on Parade, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel John Livesey, Welsh Guards (Field Officer in Brigade Waiting), received The King with a Royal Salute.

The Queen, The Princess of Wales with Prince George of Wales, Princess Charlotte of Wales and Prince Louis of Wales, The Duchess of Edinburgh, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence and other Members of the Royal Family drove to Horse Guards Parade and witnessed The King's Birthday Parade.

On the conclusion of the Parade, His Majesty rode back to Buckingham Palace at the head of The King's Guard, preceded by The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery, under the command of Major Francesca Sykes, the Massed Mounted Bands of the Household Cavalry, the Sovereign's Escort of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, under the command of Major William Charlesworth (The Blues and Royals, Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons), and the Massed Bands of the Guards Division.

On arrival at Buckingham Palace, The King's Guard entered the Forecourt and formed up opposite the Old Guard, the remaining Guards marching past His Majesty. The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment and The King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery ranked past The King.

His Majesty, from Buckingham Palace, witnessed a fly-past by aircraft of the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force, led by Wing Commander Noel Rees, to mark the official celebration of The King's Birthday.

Royal Salutes were fired today by The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery in Green Park and from the Tower of London Saluting Battery by the Honourable Artillery Company, under the command of Captain Alexander Offer.

St. James's Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh, Royal Honorary Colonel, 1st Battalion London Guards, this evening attended the Senior Colonels' Conference and Dinner at Clarence House.

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal, Colonel, The Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons), this evening presided over a Conference attended by the Colonels of the Regiments of the Household Division at Clarence House.

Her Royal Highness subsequently attended the Senior Colonels' Dinner at Clarence House.

The Duke of Kent, Colonel, Scots Guards, this evening attended the Senior Colonels' Conference and Dinner at Clarence House.
