The Right Reverend David Connor was received by The King at Windsor Castle this morning upon relinquishing his appointment as Dean of The King's Free Chapel of St. George at Windsor Castle, Domestic Chaplain, and Register of the Order of the Garter when His Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.

The King, Duke of Lancaster this afternoon received Sir Alan Reid (Chairman of the Council of the Duchy of Lancaster) and Mr. Nathan Thompson (Chief Executive Officer).

The King held a Council at 4.00 p.m..

There were present: the Rt. Hon. Penelope Mordaunt MP (Lord President), the Rt. Hon. Stephen Barclay MP (Secretary of State for Health and Social Care), the Rt. Hon. Sue-Ellen Braverman MP (Secretary of State for the Home Department), the Rt. Hon. Michael Gove MP (Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities) and the Rt. Hon. Gillian Keegan MP (Secretary of State for Education).

Ms. Ceri King was in attendance as Deputy Clerk of the Council.

The Rt. Hon. Sir Clive Alderton (Principal Private Secretary to Their Majesties) was in attendance.

The Rt. Hon. Penelope Mordaunt MP had an audience of The King before the Council.

By command of The King, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Wegger Strømmen at Amesbury House, 10 Palace Green, London W8, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Kingdom of Norway to the Court of St. James's.

By command of His Majesty, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps afterwards called upon Her Excellency Dr. Asha-Rose Migiro at 25 Belgrave Square, London SW1, in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as High Commissioner for the United Republic of Tanzania in London.

By command of The King, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps this afternoon called upon His Excellency Mr. Genaro Vicente Pappalardo Ayala at 81-83 Cromwell Road, London SW7, in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Paraguay to the Court of St. James's.
