The Duke of York this afternoon attended a briefing at the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies, Whitehall, London SW1. His Royal Highness later visited the Shard, London Bridge Street, London SE1. The Duke of York this evening gave a Dinner at Buckingham Palace for the Minister of Commerce from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

    The Prince of Wales this morning arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Saudi Arabia. Mr. Clive Alderton was in attendance. His Royal Highness later attended a Meeting on Low Emission Rural Development, Somerset House, Strand, London WC2, and subsequently received The President of the Gabonese Republic and the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries for South Africa (Mrs. Tina Joemat-Pettersson). The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Confederation of Service Charities, this afternoon attended a Meeting and Reception at St. James's Palace.

    The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince's Trust, this afternoon held a Meeting. His Royal Highness this afternoon departed Heathrow Airport, London, for Saudi Arabia, and was received upon arrival this evening at Riyadh Military Air Base by Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (His Excellency Sir Tom Phillips). The Prince of Wales this evening presented condolences to the Saudi Royal Family following the death of The Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Mr. Clive Alderton is in attendance. The Duchess of Cornwall, President, the Ebony Horse Club, this morning opened the Ebony Horse Club community Riding Centre, 51 Millbrook Road, Brixton, London SW9, and was received by Mr. Simon Duckworth (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London). Her Royal Highness afterwards opened the newly renovated Bessborough Centre, 1 Bessborough Place, Pimlico, Westminster, London SW1. The Duchess of Cornwall, President, the Lady Joseph Trust, this evening attended a Reception at the Cavalry and Guards Club, 127 Piccadilly, London W1, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer). The Duchess of Cambridge, on behalf of The Prince of Wales, this evening held a Dinner at Clarence House for In Kind Direct, of which His Royal Highness is Founder.

The Duke of York later called upon the President and Chief Executive of the Saudi Arabian Mining Company. His Royal Highness this afternoon called upon the Chief Executive of the Saudi Telecoms Company. The Duke of York afterwards called upon Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (Deputy Governor of Riyadh). His Royal Highness subsequently attended a Luncheon given by the Minister of Trade. The Duke of York this evening attended a Dinner given by Prince Al Waleed Al Talal (Chief Executive, Kingdom Holdings).

His Royal Highness today attended a Meeting with the Minister of Labour at Qasr al Sharq Hotel, Jeddah. The Duke of York this afternoon attended a Luncheon given by Saudi Binladin Group at the company's offices in Jeddah. His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner for representatives of Saudi businesses given by Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (His Excellency Sir Tom Phillips) at the Residence in Riyadh.

    The Duke of York this morning arrived at Dhahran Military Airbase and was received by Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (His Excellency Sir Tom Phillips). His Royal Highness later called upon the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce at the Chamber in Al Khobar, and remained for a Round Table Meeting with representatives of the oil and gas sectors. The Duke of York afterwards visited Saudi Petroleum Services Polytechnic in Al Khobar. His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Luncheon given by the Chairman of Al Zamil Group in Al Khobar. The Duke of York subsequently called upon the Governor of Eastern Province (Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz al Saud) and the Deputy Governor of Eastern Province (Prince Jalawi Bin Abdul Aziz Bin Mosaad Al-Saud) at the office of the Governor of Eastern Province in Al Khobar. His Royal Highness later called upon the Chief Executive of the Saudi Arabian Oil Company at the company's offices in Al Khobar. The Duke of York this evening attended a Dinner given by the Chairman of Xenel Industries at the Xenel Industries Beach House in Jeddah and was received by Her Majesty's Consul-General for Jeddah (Mr. Mohammed Showkat).
