By command of The King, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Said Rustamov at 41 Holland Park, London W11, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Court of St. James's.

By command of His Majesty, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps afterwards called upon Her Excellency Ms. Lakisha Grant Kisha Abba Grant at King Charles Street, London SW1, in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as High Commissioner for Grenada in London.

The King has been pleased to appoint the Lord Young of Old Windsor to be a Permanent Lord in Waiting to His Majesty.

The King this morning visited the Port of Nigg, Cromarty Firth, to mark its recently-awarded Green Freeport status and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Ross and Cromarty (Mrs. Joanie Whiteford) and the Chairman of Global Energy Group (Mr. Roy McGregor).

His Majesty, escorted by the Chairman, viewed the Induction Centre and was received by the Managing Director of Mitsui and Company Europe plc (Mr. Yukinobu Nakano), before viewing Fabrication Shops housing construction and assembly workspaces and meeting members of the team working on the construction of the J-tube frames for the Moray West Offshore Wind Farm.

The King afterwards visited the inner dock and was received by the Executive Director of Renewables and Energy Transition (Mr. Iain Sinclair), the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sumitomo Electric (Mr. Masayoshi Matsumoto) and the Chairman of Highlands and Islands Enterprise (Mr. Alistair Dodds).

His Majesty subsequently visited Nigg Skills Academy and, having been received by the Chairman (Mr. Alistair Kennedy), met students and an instructor.

The King, as Chieftain, this afternoon attended the Mey Highland Games, John O'Groats, Caithness, and was received by the Chairman (Mr. Andrew Sinclair).

The King this morning officially opened 8 Doors Distillery, John O'Groats, Wick, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Caithness (the Viscount Thurso) and the Co-Founders (Mr. and Mrs. Derek Campbell).

His Majesty toured the still room, tasting room and cask store, and met members of staff.

The King afterwards met members of the John O'Groats business community and local artisan food producers at the Old Forge and was received by the Chairman of John O'Groats Community Council (Mr. Andrew Mowat).

Mr. Simon Hickling was received by The King this afternoon upon relinquishing his appointment as Deputy Land Agent, Sandringham Estate, when His Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Member of the Royal Victorian Order.

The King this evening held a Reception at Sandringham House for Leaders in Agriculture.

By command of His Majesty, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Moazzam Ahmad Khan at 35-36 Lowndes Square, London SW1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as High Commissioner for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in London.

The King was represented by Mr. Robert Waley-Cohen (Deputy Lieutenant of Warwickshire) at the Funeral Service of Lieutenant Colonel George Alston-Roberts-West (former Comptroller, Lord Chamberlain's Office) which was held at St. Mary's Church, Preston on Stour, Warwickshire, today.

Sandringham, Norfolk

The King and Queen this morning visited Sandringham Flower Show.

The King was represented by the Earl of Dalhousie at the Memorial Service for The Earl of Crawford and Balcarres KT which was held in St. Salvator's Chapel, University of St. Andrews, St. Andrews, Fife, today.

The Princess Royal was represented by the Lord Cullen of Whitekirk KT.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy was represented by the Lord Steel of Aikwood KT.

The King this evening attended a "Music in Country Churches" Concert at St. Mary's Church, Snettisham, Norfolk, and was received by the Chairman of Music in Country Churches (Mr. Matthew Rice), Dr. Philip Burnett (Director) and the Vicar (the Reverend Daniel Tansey).
