HMS Queen Elizabeth embodies the best of British technology and innovation – a true flagship for the 21st century

You have established yourselves as a unified Regiment and a force without match

I am sure of a shared, bright future for both of our countries as long-standing allies working together towards global peace and prosperity

I would wish all Sappers, wherever they may be, every success and good fortune in the future

It is a pleasure to be invited to address you on this special occasion to mark the opening of the fifth session of the Scottish Parliament

The Assembly can be proud of the way it has engaged with a broad audience across Wales and beyond

No hundredth birthday greeting will give greater pleasure to deliver than the one I give to you, along with these New Colours today.

I name this ship QUEEN ELIZABETH. May God bless her and all who sail in her.

The Regimental Association is the very embodiment of the Regimental Family and I trust that it will thrive equally well over the next century too!

We are very proud of the selfless service, and sacrifices made by servicemen and women and their families in recent years.
