The Earl of Wessex visits RAF Waddington

The Earl of Wessex attended The Air Combat Power Day at RAF Waddington, Lincolnshire in his position as Honorary Air Commodore.
His Royal Highness was given a tour of a surveillance reconnaissance aircraft and learnt about the plane’s special data collation equipment and image analysis abilities.
His Royal Highness watched a display by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, flown by a current RAF Aircrew. The Flight’s mission is to maintain Britain’s national heritage and commemorate those who have fallen in the service of this country.
Later, The Earl of Wessex took a closer look at some military planes. His Royal Highness met with crew members and engineers to learn about their vital roles in maintaining and running RAF planes.
