Balmoral Castle

The King arrived at Balmoral Castle this morning, was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire (Mr. Alexander Manson) and then inspected the Royal Guard found by Balaklava Company, 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland.

Balmoral Castle

The King, Patron, the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society, this morning attended an Event at Ballindalloch Castle to mark the publication of the One Hundred and Fiftieth edition of the Society's Herd Book and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Banffshire (Mr. Andrew Simpson), the Chief Executive Officer of the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society (Mr. Robert Gilchrist) and the Owners of Ballindalloch Castle (Mr. and Mrs. Guy McPherson Grant).

His Majesty, escorted by the President of the Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society (Mr. Matthew Currie) and Ballindalloch Farm Manager (Mr. David Johnstone), walked to the cattle field and inspected the Ballindalloch Aberdeen-Angus Herd, before exiting the field through the King Charles Gate and meeting members of the Society and representatives of local businesses and organisations.

Balmoral Castle

Mr. Bernard Flannery was received by The King this morning at the Castle of Mey, Thurso, Caithness, when His Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order.

The King today visited Dingwall to mark its Eight Hundredth Anniversary as a Royal Burgh and was received at Cromarty Memorial Car Park by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Ross and Cromarty (Mrs. Joanie Whiteford).

His Majesty met representatives of Dingwall Mart, winners of The King's Award for Voluntary Service and recipients of The King's Award for Enterprise, before viewing local business stalls and meeting representatives from Dingwall Fire Brigade Service and Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team.

The King afterwards visited Dingwall Town Hall and, escorted by the Chairman of Dingwall Community Council (Mr. Andrew MacIvor), met representatives of community groups, before proceeding on to the Town Hall Balcony and viewing a demonstration of Highland dance and a performance by young musicians from Fèis Rois.

The King this morning received members of Assynt Mountain Rescue Team at the Castle of Mey, Thurso, Caithness.

His Majesty, Patron, the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society, received Mr. Matthew Currie (President) and Mr. Robert Gilchrist (Chief Executive Officer) at the Castle of Mey.

The King, as Chieftain, this afternoon attended the Mey Highland Games, John O'Groats, Caithness, and was received by the Chairman (Mr. Andrew Sinclair).

Buckingham Palace

By command of The King, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon Her Excellency Ms. Laura Camila Sarabia Torres at 76 Chester Square, London SW1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Colombia to the Court of St. James's.

The King this morning visited Halkirk Heritage and Motor Society Museum, Halkirk Heritage and Vintage Motor Centre, Sinclair Street, Halkirk, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Caithness (the Viscount Thurso) and the Chairman of the Museum (Mrs. Lorraine Eyre).

His Majesty toured the Museum, escorted by the Chairman, meeting trustees and volunteers.

The King this afternoon visited Stannergill Whisky Distillery, Castletown Mill, Castletown, Caithness, and was received by Mr. and Mrs. Martin Murray (Owners) and Mr. Struan Mackie (Provost of Thurso).

His Majesty toured the restored Mill, escorted by the Owners, visiting the kitchen and restaurant, and meeting members of staff.

The King afterwards moved into the Distillery, viewing the copper stills and meeting members of staff and those connected with the restoration of the building before officially opening Stannergill Whisky Distillery.

Buckingham Palace

The King and Queen were represented by Mr. Michael More-Molyneux (His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey) at the Funeral of Dame Penelope Keith (Actress) which was held in Guildford Cathedral this morning.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were represented by Sir Richard Stilgoe.

The Princess Royal was represented by Colonel John Boyd.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represented by His Honour Judge Robert Fraser.

The Duke of Kent was represented by Professor Stephen Jarvis.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy was represented by Mrs. Diane Duke.

Buckingham Palace

The King, Royal Honorary Air Commodore, this afternoon visited Royal Air Force Marham and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk (the Lady Dannatt) and the Station Commander (Group Captain Leonie Boyd).

His Majesty viewed a new accommodation block and subsequently officially opened the building.

The King afterwards viewed an F-35 Lightning stealth fighter jet inside one of the Station hangars and met pilots and aviators, before meeting more Service personnel and their families.

Later, Her Excellency the Hon. Frances Adamson was received by The King upon relinquishing her appointment as Governor of South Australia.

Mr. Rod Bunten was also received by His Majesty.

Mr. Michael Dooley (His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset) was present at Bournemouth Airport today upon the Arrival of The President of Ukraine and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of The King.

Sandringham, Norfolk

The King was represented by the Very Reverend Professor David Fergusson (Dean of the Chapel Royal in Scotland) at the Funeral of the Reverend Charles Roberts (former Minister of Canongate Kirk, Domestic Chaplain to The late Queen and Extra Chaplain to The King) which was held at Canongate Kirk, Edinburgh, this morning.

The Duke of Edinburgh was represented by the Very Reverend Professor Iain Torrance.

The Princess Royal was represented by Mrs. Charles Ritchie.
