The King, Royal Founding Patron, The King's Trust, today attended the launch of Apple x King’s Trust Creative Labs, an industry-led education programme for young people supported by The King's Trust, in partnership with Apple, at the Headquarters of Apple (UK) Limited, 1 Battersea Power Station, Circus Road South, London SW8, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), the Executive Chairman of Apple Incorporated (Mr. Timothy Cook) and the UK Chief Executive Officer of The King’s Trust (Mr. Jonathan Townsend).
His Majesty, escorted by the Executive Chairman, viewed a music creation workshop and spoke to participants.
The King proceeded to the Apple Music Hall and, having been received by Sir Elton John (Musician and King’s Trust Ambassador), viewed a sound check and subsequently a musical performance.
