The Rt. Hon. Sir Keir Starmer MP had an audience of The King this morning and tendered his resignation as Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury which His Majesty was graciously pleased to accept.

His Majesty received in audience the Rt. Hon. Andrew Burnham MP and requested him to form a new Administration. The Rt. Hon Andrew Burnham MP accepted The King's offer and kissed hands upon his appointment as Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury.

The King this afternoon visited Cambridge Central Mosque, 309-313 Mill Road, Cambridge, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire (Mrs. Julie Spence), the Chairman of Cambridge Mosque Trust (Dr. Timothy Winter), the Bishop of Ely (the Right Reverend Dr. Sarah Clark) and the Mayor of Cambridge (Councillor Maria Cleminson).
His Majesty, escorted by the Chairman of the Trust and Mrs. Julia Barfield (Director, Marks Barfield Architects), viewed the garden and architecture before meeting Trustees of Cambridge Mosque Trust.
The King afterwards entered the Prayer Hall and met those associated with the Mosque and those of other Religions from the local community.
His Majesty, Royal Founding President, The King's Foundation, subsequently met representatives of the Foundation's partnership with the University of Cambridge.
The King later officially opened the New Whittle Laboratory, University of Cambridge, 1 JJ Thomson Avenue, Cambridge and was received by Dame Veronica Courtice (Deputy Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire), the Chancellor of the University of Cambridge (the Lord Smith of Finsbury) and the Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (Councillor Paul Bristow).
His Majesty toured the laboratory, escorted by Professor Robert Miller (Director of the Whittle Laboratory), before meeting participants of the Frank Whittle Summit.
The Queen, Patron, Emmaus UK, today visited Emmaus Norfolk and Waveney, Belsey Bridge Road, Ditchingham, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk (the Lady Dannatt).

The King today visited Special Forces Strike Group and was received by the Commanding Officer and the Regimental Sergeant Major.
His Majesty was graciously pleased to address the Unit before viewing equipment and capability stands.
The King afterwards proceeded to the Warrant Officers' and Sergeants' Mess and met Service Personnel and their families.
Today is the Anniversary of the Birthday of The Queen.

The King and Queen this afternoon visited Hall and Woodhouse Brewery, Blandford St. Mary, to mark the Brewery's Two Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary and were received by the Hon. Charlotte Townshend (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset), the Chairman (Mr. Anthony Woodhouse) and Mr. Matthew Kearsey (Managing Director).
His Majesty learnt about the work of the Teddy Rocks charity and then, with Her Majesty, visited the Maltings Room, escorted by the Chairman and Ms. Tatiana Woodhouse (Family Director).
The King and Queen afterwards visited Blandford Forum Town Hall and Corn Exchange, 17 Market Place, Blandford Forum, and were received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset (Professor Michael Dooley) and the Mayor of Blandford Forum (Councillor Colin Stevens).
Their Majesties visited various Harmony stands and The King met representatives from different faith groups.
His Majesty later visited the Butler Museum near Blandford Forum and was received by the Custodian (Ms. Katharine Butler).
By command of The King, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Pedro Antonio Serrano de Haro at 32 Smith Square, London SW1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the European Union to the Court of St. James's.

The King this morning received the Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, Professor David Baker and other contributors who presented the book, 'An Enduring Relationship' on the history between Great Britain and the North American nations during the Century prior to Independence, to His Majesty.
The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, The Rifles, this morning received Lieutenant General Sir Tom Copinger-Symes upon relinquishing his appointment as Colonel Commandant and Lieutenant General Sir Charles Collins upon assuming the appointment.
Her Majesty, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Lancers, received Lieutenant Colonel Robin Davies upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Horsfall upon assuming the appointment.

The King, Lord of Mann this afternoon visited the Isle of Man and was received at Ronaldsway Airport by the Lieutenant Governor of the Isle of Man (Lieutenant General Sir John Lorimer).
His Majesty drove to the High Court of Tynwald, Douglas, and was received by the President of Tynwald (the Hon. Laurence Skelly), the Chief Minister (the Hon. Alfred Cannan), the Sword Bearer (Mr. Andrew Cunningham), the Speaker of the House of Keys (the Hon. Juan Watterson) and the Lord Bishop of Sodor and Man (the Right Reverend Patricia Hillas).
In the Legislative Council Chamber the President of Tynwald presented a Loyal Address to which His Majesty was graciously pleased to make reply.
The King subsequently met members of the public outside the Tynwald Buildings.
His Majesty afterwards attended a Garden Party given by the Lieutenant Governor at Government House, Onchan.
The King later visited the Tram Shed, Queen's Promenade, Douglas, to mark the Sesquicentenary of Douglas Bay Horse Tramway, and was received by the Hon. Tim Crookall (Minister for the Department of Infrastructure) and the Mayor of Douglas (Mr. Councillor Steven Crellin).
His Majesty viewed Shire horses and historic carriages and met members of staff and volunteers, before travelling in a renovated double-deck tram along the Promenade and meeting members of the public.

Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities, Woodstock Road, Oxford, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire (Mrs. Marjorie Glasgow), the Chancellor of the University of Oxford (the Lord Hague of Richmond), the Founders of the Centre (Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Schwarzman) and the Lord Mayor of Oxford (Councillor Chewe Munkonge)
His Majesty, escorted by the Chancellor, met senior personnel of the Centre and the University in the Great Hall before formally opening the Centre.

His Majesty, Visitor, this afternoon visited Oriel College, Oxford, to mark the College's Seven Hundredth Anniversary and was received by the Lord Provost (the Lord Mendoza).
The King visited the Chapel and viewed Cardinal Newman's Oratory before joining a Reception on the First Quad Lawn with members of staff, students and alumni.
His Majesty, Visitor, afterwards visited University College, Oxford, was received by the Master (the Baroness Amos) and met researchers, members of staff and students.
The King later visited Harwell Space Cluster and Astra Carta, Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, Didcot, Oxfordshire, and was received by the Director of Innovation Clusters, Harwell Campus (Dr. Barbara Ghinelli).
His Majesty, escorted by Dr. Sarah Beardsley (Director, RAL Space), toured the Space Technology Centre before joining Space Cluster representatives in the garden of the UK Space and Defence Gateway building and officially opening the UK Space and Defence Gateway.

The King, Patron, the Zoological Society of London, and The Queen this morning visited London Zoo, Regent's Park, London NW1, to mark its Bicentenary and were received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London), Sir James Smith (Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the Zoological Society of London) and Ms. Kathryn England (Chief Executive Officer).
Their Majesties visited the Giants of Galápagos enclosure before visiting Penguin Beach and viewing a training exercise.

The King this morning officially opened the new Headquarters of British Transport Police, 200 Buckingham Palace Road, London SW1, and was received by Mr. Stuart Shilson (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London) and the Chief Constable of British Transport Police (Chief Constable Lucy D'Orsi).
His Majesty, escorted by the Chief Constable, viewed technical equipment and met specialist police officers as well as first responders involved in the recent train crash near Elstow, Bedfordshire.
