The King this morning held a Meeting with representatives from the Scottish Government, Crown Estate Scotland, National Trust for Scotland, Cairngorms National Park, Aberdeenshire Council and Scottish Water regarding wildfire and flood prevention.

The Queen, Patron, BookTrust, this afternoon visited Spellow Community Hub and Library, 125 County Road, Walton, Liverpool, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside (Mr. Peter Oliver).

Her Majesty, Patron, the National Literacy Trust, later attended a Meeting at Speke Hall, the Walk, Speke, Liverpool, and, having been received by Mrs. Susan Higginson (Deputy Lieutenant of Merseyside), afterwards observed children’s book-themed activities in the garden.

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited Age UK Sheffield’s Gathering Ground at the Pavilion, Middlewood Road, Hillsborough, Sheffield, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire (Professor Dame Hilary Chapman).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Sheffield Assay Office, Guardians’ Hall, Beulah Road, Hillsborough, Sheffield.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited Footprint Tools, Admiral Works, Sedgley Road, Sheffield.

The Queen, President, this morning visited Ebony Horse Club, 51 Millbrook Road, London SW9, to celebrate its Thirtieth Anniversary, and was received by Mrs. Colleen Harris (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Majesty, Patron, the National Literacy Trust, this evening attended Letters Live at the Royal Festival Hall, South Bank Centre, Belvedere Road, London SE1, and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London).

Buckingham Palace

The King, Patron, this afternoon attended a Garden Party to mark the One Hundred and Twenty Fifth Anniversary of the Victoria League for Commonwealth Friendship, Victoria League House, 55 Leinster Square, London W2, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa) and the Chairman (Mr. John Steel).

The King this afternoon received the Pakistan National Cricket Team at Clarence House.

The President of the French Republic and Mrs. Macron visited The King and Queen and remained to Tea.

The King and Queen, with The President of the French Republic and Madame Macron, this evening viewed the Bayeux Tapestry Exhibition at the British Museum, Great Russell Street, London WC1, and were received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), the Chairman of the British Museum (the Rt. Hon. George Osborne) and the Museum’s Director (Dr. Nicholas Cullinan).

Their Majesties and Their Excellencies, accompanied by the Rt. Hon. Andrew Burnham MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) and Ms. Marie-France Van Heel, and escorted by the Chairman and Director, were briefed by curators of the Exhibition, before walking the length of the Tapestry.

The King and Queen, with The President of the French Republic and Madame Macron, afterwards met representatives from the United Kingdom and France involved in the loan of the Bayeux Tapestry to the British Museum.

His Majesty and His Excellency addressed those present.

The Queen, Patron, Royal Academy of Dance, having been received by Mrs. Colleen Harris (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London), this afternoon visited the Royal Academy of Dance, 188 York Road, London SW11, and presented the Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Award.

The Baroness Dacres of Lewisham (Baroness in Waiting) was present at Royal Air Force Northolt this afternoon upon the Arrival of The President of the French Republic and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of The King.

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal this morning visited Whitelink Seafoods Limited, Maxwell Place Industrial Estate, Fraserburgh, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire (Mr. Alexander Manson).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited International Fish Canners' factory, Bath Street, Fraserburgh, and was received by Mrs. Fiona Kennedy Clark (Deputy Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire).

The Princess Royal later visited Aberdeenshire Bairns’ Hoose and was received by Mrs. Nicola Bradford (Deputy Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire).

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Midmar Men’s Shed and Community Hall, Midmar, and was received by Mrs. Rosemary Walker (Deputy Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire).

By command of The King, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon Her Excellency Mrs. Ismara Mercedes Vargas Walter at 167 High Holborn, London WC1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Cuba to the Court of St. James's.
