His Majesty was present at The King's Birthday Parade on Horse Guards Parade this morning at which The King's Colour of Number 7 Company Coldstream Guards was Trooped.

The King was accompanied by The Queen (Colonel, Grenadier Guards), The Duke of Edinburgh (Colonel, Scots Guards), The Prince of Wales (Colonel, Welsh Guards), The Princess of Wales (Colonel, Irish Guards) and The Princess Royal (Gold Stick in Waiting and Colonel, The Blues and Royals, Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons).

His Majesty was attended by Lieutenant General Sir Edward Smyth-Osbourne (Colonel, The Life Guards), Lieutenant General Sir James Bucknall (Colonel, Coldstream Guards) and Major General James Bowder (Major General Commanding Household Division).

The Lord Ashton (Master of the Horse), Colonel Toby Browne, Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Segrave (Mounted Equerries in Waiting), Lieutenant Colonel Michael Vernon, Captain Hugh Scrope (Dismounted Equerries in Waiting) and Colonel Mark Berry (The Life Guards, Silver Stick in Waiting) were in attendance.

Colonel Guy Stone (Chief of Staff), Lieutenant Colonel Ralph Griffin (Silver Stick Adjutant), Colonel Jeremy Bagshaw (Regimental Adjutant, Coldstream Guards) and the Household Division Staff were present.

The Procession was led by Lieutenant Colonel Charles Foinette, Coldstream Guards (Brigade Major Household Division).

The troops on Parade, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Storm Green, Coldstream Guards (Field Officer in Brigade Waiting), received The King with a Royal Salute.

Prince George of Wales, Princess Charlotte of Wales and Prince Louis of Wales, The Duchess of Edinburgh, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence and other Members of the Royal Family drove to Horse Guards Parade and witnessed The King's Birthday Parade.

On the conclusion of the Parade, His Majesty drove in a carriage back to Buckingham Palace at the head of The King's Guard, preceded by The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery, under the command of Major Luke Wadman, the Massed Mounted Bands of the Household Cavalry, the Sovereign's Escort of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, under the command of Major Charles Onslow (The Blues and Royals, Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons), and the Massed Bands of the Guards Division.

On arrival at Buckingham Palace, The King's Guard entered the Forecourt and formed up opposite the Old Guard, the remaining Guards marching past His Majesty. The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment and The King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery ranked past The King.

His Majesty, from Buckingham Palace, witnessed a fly-past by aircraft of the Royal Air Force, led by Wing Commander Andrew Watson, to mark the official celebration of The King's Birthday.

Royal Salutes were fired today by The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery in Green Park and from the Tower of London Saluting Battery by the Honourable Artillery Company, under the command of Captain Karl Mackenzie.

Buckingham Palace

The King, Colonel-in-Chief, this morning presented new Colours to the 1st Battalion and No. 7 Company Coldstream Guards in the Quadrangle of Windsor Castle, which celebrates the Regiment's Three Hundred and Seventy Fifth Anniversary.

Having been received upon arrival by the Colonel of the Regiment (Lieutenant General Sir James Bucknall), His Majesty was received on Parade with a Royal Salute.

The King then inspected the Parade.

After the presentation of new Colours, His Majesty was graciously pleased to address the Regiment and the Regimental Lieutenant Colonel (Colonel Toby Till) replied.

The Parade subsequently Marched Past The King.

The Queen, Colonel, Grenadier Guards, this evening attended the Senior Colonels' Conference at Clarence House.

Buckingham Palace

The following were received in audience by The King this afternoon and kissed hands upon their appointment as His Majesty's Ambassadors: Mr. Nicholas Abbott (the Republic of Albania), Mr. David Ashley (the Republic of South Sudan), Ms. Elizabeth Boyles (the Republic of Lithuania) and Ms. Anne Sherriff (the Kingdom of Belgium).

Mrs. Abbott, Mrs. Ashley, Mr. Patrick Dens and Mr. Jayd Davies were also received by His Majesty.

Mr. Simon Mustard was received in audience by The King upon his appointment as British High Commissioner to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean.

Mrs. Mustard was also received by His Majesty.

The King received Mrs. Oleksandra Matviichuk (Head of the Center for Civil Liberties) and Ms. Anna Nazaryk (International Advocacy Manager).

The King held a Council at 4.30 p.m..

There were present: the Rt. Hon. Lucy Powell MP (Lord President), the Rt. Hon. Yvette Cooper MP (Secretary of State for the Home Department), the Rt. Hon. Ian Murray MP (Secretary of State for Scotland) and the Rt. Hon. Steven Reed MP (Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs).

Lady Carmichael and Lord Ericht were sworn in as members of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr. Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt. Hon. Sir Clive Alderton (Principal Private Secretary to Their Majesties) was in attendance.

The Rt. Hon. Lucy Powell MP had an audience of His Majesty before the Council.

Later, the Rt. Hon. Sir Keir Starmer MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of His Majesty.

The Queen this morning received Sir Michael Stevens upon relinquishing his appointment as Keeper of the Privy Purse and Treasurer to The King.

Her Majesty, Patron, The Queen's Reading Room, this afternoon received Ms. Amanda Mackenzie (Chairman), Mrs. Victoria Perrin (Chief Executive Officer) and Mrs. Amanda MacManus (Trustee).

The Queen later attended an Event in Bedford Square, London WC1, to mark the Thirtieth Anniversary of the Women's Prize for Fiction and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The King, held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

Buckingham Palace

The King this morning visited the Truman Brewery, 91 Brick Lane, London E1, as part of the South by Southwest London festival and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London), the Chief Executive Officer of South by Southwest London (Mr. Max Alexander) and the Mayor of London (Sir Sadiq Khan).

His Majesty viewed "Grounding", an audiovisual installation, escorted by Mr. Patrick Moore (Cultural Adviser and Board Member, South by Southwest London) and Ms. Katy Arnander (Director of Programming).

The King afterwards visited the "Beautiful Collisions" exhibition at Christ Church Spitalfields, Commercial Street, London E1, as part of the South by Southwest London festival and was received by the Senior Pastor (the Reverend Darren Wolf).

His Majesty viewed the exhibition and afterwards attended a Reception.

The King subsequently walked to Old Spitalfields Market and met stallholders and members of the local community.

His Majesty this afternoon visited the Violet Melchett Health and Wellbeing Hub, 30 Flood Walk, London SW3, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).

The Queen this afternoon visited Hexham Racecourse, High Yarridge, Hexham, and, having been received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Northumberland (Dr. Caroline Pryor), officially opened the new stand.

Her Majesty afterwards visited Hexham Abbey, Beaumont Street, Hexham.

The Queen subsequently met members of the public in Hexham market.

The King spoke to The President of the United Arab Emirates via telephone this morning.

His Majesty this afternoon received Mr. Ajay Banga (President of the World Bank).

Mr. Andrew Murdoch was received in audience by The King and kissed hands upon his appointment as Governor of Bermuda.

Mr. Colin Martin-Reynolds was received in audience by The King and kissed hands upon his appointment as Governor of Falkland Islands and His Majesty's Commissioner for South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.

Mr. Sam Martin-Reynolds was also received by His Majesty.

The following were received in audience by The King and kissed hands upon their appointment as His Majesty's Ambassador:

Mr. Greg Houston (the Republic of Panama), Mrs. Susannah Goshko (the United Mexican States) and Ms. Elisabeth Green (the Republic of Ecuador).

The King this evening attended a Service at The Queen's Chapel, Marlborough Road, London SW1, to mark the Chapel's Four Hundredth Anniversary and was received by the Bishop of London (Dean of His Majesty's Chapels Royal).

The Queen this morning opened the British Flowers Week Exhibition at the Garden Museum, 5 Lambeth Palace Road, London SE1, and was received by Mr. Anthony Griffiths (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Majesty, Patron, the Big Lunch, this afternoon visited Eden Dock, Heron Quays Road, London E14, and, having been received by Mr. Leslie Morgan (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London), attended a Big Lunch to mark the partnership between the Eden Project and Canary Wharf Group to transform Middle Dock into Eden Dock.

The King was represented by the Earl of Rosslyn (Lord Steward and Personal Secretary to The King and Queen) at the Memorial Service for Sir Richard Carew Pole, Bt. (formerly Trustee of the Eden Project and of Tate St. Ives) which was held at St. James's Church Piccadilly, London W1, this afternoon.

The Queen was represented by the Marchioness of Lansdowne.

The Princess Royal was represented by Captain Sir Nicholas Wright RN.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represented by Dr. Nicola Stacey.

The Duke of Kent was represented by Mr. Nicholas Turnbull.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy was represented by Mrs. Diane Duke.

The King and Queen, accompanied by the Governor-General of Canada (the Rt. Hon. Mary Simon) and Mr. Whit Fraser, this morning drove in a Carriage Procession to the Senate of Canada Building, Ottawa, Ontario, to open the Session of Parliament.

Their Majesties were received at the Senate of Canada Building by the Prime Minister of Canada (the Rt. Hon. Mark Carney) and Mr. Gregory Peter (Usher of the Black Rod).

The King was received with a Royal Salute and inspected the Guard of Honour.

Afterwards Their Majesties were received by the Speaker of the Senate (the Hon. Raymonde Gagné), the Representative of the Government in the Senate (the Hon. Marc Gold) and the Chief of the Defence Staff (General Jennie Carignan) before meeting the four Senate Leaders.

The King and Queen entered the Senate Chamber and met the Inuit Elder (the Reverend Canon Aigah Attagutsiak).

His Majesty was graciously pleased to address the House of Commons.

The King and Queen afterwards walked to the National War Memorial where His Majesty laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and Her Majesty laid a posy.

His Majesty subsequently received a Royal Salute and, with Her Majesty, witnessed a fly-past by the Royal Canadian Airforce.

The King and Queen later left Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier International Airport, Ottawa, for the United Kingdom.

Their Majesties, attended by the Rt. Hon. Sir Clive Alderton, Mrs. Muna Shamsuddin, Mr. Tobyn Andreae, Mrs. Colette Saunders, Mrs. Phoebe Goodwin, Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Thompson and Mrs. Sophia Densham, arrived at Royal Air Force Brize Norton this evening.

Rideau Hall, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

The King and Queen left Royal Air Force Brize Norton this morning for the Royal Visit to Canada.

Their Majesties were received at the Air Station by the Lord Benyon (Lord Chamberlain), His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire (Mrs. Marjorie Glasgow) and the High Commissioner of Canada (His Excellency the Hon. Ralph Goodale).

The King and Queen arrived at Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier International Airport this afternoon and were received by the Governor-General of Canada (the Rt. Hon. Mary Simon), the Prime Minister of Canada (the Rt. Hon. Mark Carney) and the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario (the Hon. Edith Dumont).

Their Majesties drove to Lansdowne Park and were received by the Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture (the Hon. Steven Guilbeault) and the Mayor of Ottawa (Mr. Mark Sutcliffe).

The King and Queen visited the Farmers' Market before visiting the hockey rink and the Horticulture Building, and meeting members of community organisations.

Later the Governor-General was received in audience by His Majesty at Rideau Hall.

The Prime Minister of Canada was received in audience by The King.

The King, accompanied by The Queen, held a Council at 4.25 p.m..

There was present: Mr. Kenneth MacKillop (Secretary to the Governor-General and Herald Chancellor).

The Queen was sworn in as a member of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council in Canada.

Mr. John Hannaford was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

His Majesty afterwards attended a Reception at Rideau Hall with Lieutenant Governors and Territorial Commissioners.

Subsequently The President of Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (Angajuqgaaq (Chief) Natan Obed) was received by The King.

The National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations (Chief Cindy Woodhouse Nepinak) was received by His Majesty.

The President of the Métis National Council (President Victoria Pruden) was received by The King.

His Excellency Mr. Warren Stephens was received in audience by The King today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the United States of America to the Court of St. James's.

Mrs. Stephens was also received by His Majesty.

His Excellency Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Kingdom of Thailand to the Court of St. James's.

Mrs. Krishnamra was also received by His Majesty.

Her Excellency Ms. Genevieve Kennedy was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Liberia to the Court of St. James's.

Sir Oliver Robbins (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs) was present.

The King this afternoon received Mr. Scott Furssedonn-Wood upon relinquishing his appointment as British High Commissioner to Barbados, and non-resident British High Commissioner to Dominica, Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia and Saint Christopher and Nevis when His Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order.

The Queen, Patron, Royal Academy of Dance, this morning received Mr. Timothy Arthur at Clarence House upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief Executive and Mrs. Elizabeth Honer upon assuming the appointment.

Her Majesty, Patron, First Story, received Mrs. Antonia Byatt at Clarence House upon relinquishing her appointment as Chief Executive and Mrs. Sophie Hiscock upon assuming the appointment.

The Queen, President, Bees for Development Trust, received Mrs. Megan Denver at Clarence House upon relinquishing her appointment as Chief Executive and Mrs. Hannah Wood upon assuming the appointment.

The King and Queen this morning visited Canada House, Trafalgar Square, London SW1, to mark its Centenary and were received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London) and the High Commissioner for Canada in London (His Excellency the Hon. Ralph Goodale).

Their Majesties, escorted by the Honorary President of Royal Canadian Geographical Society (Chief Perry Bellegarde) and the Chief Executive Officer of Parks Canada (Mr. Ron Hallman), viewed the Royal Canadian Geographical Society floor map in the Borden-Mackenzie Rooms and met guests, including notable Canadian citizens, and members of staff.

His Majesty was presented with a Key to Canada House by the High Commissioner and, with Her Majesty, subsequently viewed an exhibition in the Canada Gallery celebrating the One Hundredth Anniversary of Canada House.

The Baroness Scotland of Asthal was received by The King this afternoon upon relinquishing her appointment as Commonwealth Secretary-General.

His Majesty received the Lord Janvrin (Chairman of The Queen Elizabeth Memorial Committee).

The Rt. Hon. Sir Keir Starmer MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The King.

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The King, and The Princess of Wales gave an Afternoon Party in the garden of Buckingham Palace.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were present.

His Majesty's Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen-at-Arms and The King's Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were on duty.

The British Army Band Tidworth and the Central Band of the Royal Air Force played selections of music during the afternoon.

The King was represented by the Earl Rosslyn (Lord Steward and Personal Secretary to The King and Queen) at the Memorial Service for Dame Rosalind Savill (formerly Director of the Wallace Collection) which was held at St. Marylebone Parish Church, 17 Marylebone Road, London NW1, this afternoon.

The King, Patron, Royal Horticultural Society, and The Queen this evening visited the Chelsea Flower Show in the Gardens of the Royal Hospital, Chelsea.

By command of The King, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Roy Leonardo Barreras Montealegre at 3 Hans Crescent, London SW1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Colombia to the Court of St. James's.
