Her Royal Highness, Patron, Rugby Football League, this afternoon visited Wakefield Trinity Rugby League Football Club, DIY Kitchens Stadium, Doncaster Road, Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

The Princess of Wales later joined a hike at Baslow Edge, Peak District National Park, Derbyshire, with people who have previously participated in a Mind Over Mountains Wellbeing Walk.

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited the National Composite Centre, Feynman Way Central, Bristol and Bath Science Park, Bristol, and was received by Mr. Richard Bradley (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire).

The Prince of Wales afterwards visited the Robotics Laboratory at the University of the West of England, Frenchay Campus, Coldharbour Lane, Bristol.

Their Royal Highnesses later visited the National Curling Academy, the Peak, Stirling Sports Village, Forthside Way, Stirling, and were received by Colonel Alastair Campbell (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Stirling and Falkirk).

The Prince William, Duke of Rothesay and The Duchess of Rothesay afterwards visited Radical Weavers, 82 Murray Place, Stirling.

Their Royal Highnesses subsequently visited the Gothenburg public house, Main Street, Fallin, Stirling, and were received by Mr. Robin Iffla (Deputy Lieutenant of Stirling and Falkirk).

The King this morning attended an Advent Service in Westminster Abbey, London SW1, and was received at the Great West Door by the Dean of Westminster (the Very Reverend Dr. David Hoyle).

Mr. Stephen Hitchen was received in audience by The King this afternoon and kissed hands upon his appointment as His Majesty's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Mrs. Kara Owen was received in audience by The King and kissed hands upon her appointment as His Majesty's Ambassador to Ireland.

Mr. William Tierney was also received by The King.

His Majesty held a Council at 4.15 p.m..

There were present: the Rt. Hon. Sir Alan Campbell MP (Lord President), the Rt. Hon. Steven Reed MP (Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government), the Rt. Hon. Emma Reynolds MP (Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) and the Baroness Smith of Basildon (Leader of the House of Lords and Lord Privy Seal).

Sir Adrian Colton, Sir Ian Dove and Dame Juliet May were sworn in as members of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr. Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt. Hon. Sir Clive Alderton (Principal Private Secretary to Their Majesties) was in attendance.

The Rt. Hon. Sir Alan Campbell MP had an audience of His Majesty before the Council.

Later the Rt. Hon. Sir Keir Starmer MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The King.

The Queen was present at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Mr. Hugh Green which was held at the Chapel Royal, St. James's Palace this afternoon.

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The King, held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.
