The King held a Council at Buckingham Palace at 4.15 p.m..

There were present: the Rt. Hon. Sir Alan Campbell MP (Lord President), the Rt. Hon. Heidi Alexander MP (Secretary of State for Transport), the Rt. Hon. David Lammy MP (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice) and the Rt. Hon. Joanna Stevens MP (Secretary of State for Wales).

Sir Stephen Cobb was sworn in as a member of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr. Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt. Hon. Sir Clive Alderton (Principal Private Secretary to Their Majesties) was in attendance.

The Rt. Hon. Sir Alan Campbell MP had an audience of The King before the Council.

Later, the Rt. Hon. Sir Keir Starmer MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of His Majesty.

The Queen, Patron, this afternoon held a Reception at Buckingham Palace to mark the Seventy Fifth Anniversary of English National Ballet.

By command of The King, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon Her Excellency Mrs. Diana Marcela Vanegas Hernández at 8 Dorset Square, London NW1, this morning in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of El Salvador to the Court of St. James's.

By command of His Majesty, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps called upon His Excellency Mr. Nehemia Sekhonyana Bereng at 7 Chesham Place, London SW1, today in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as High Commissioner for the Kingdom of Lesotho in London.

Windsor Castle

The King and Queen this evening held a Reception at Windsor Castle for Armed Forces veterans who served in the Second World War in the Pacific and Indian Ocean Territories to commemorate the Eightieth Anniversary of Victory over Japan Day.

The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duchess of Gloucester were present.

The Queen this morning travelled on a 'Poppy Train' from Chippenham Railway Station, Cocklebury Road, Chippenham, Wiltshire, to London Paddington Railway Station, Praed Street, London W2, to attend Great Western Railway's 'Poppies to Paddington' commemoration.

Her Majesty arrived at Paddington Railway Station and, having been received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), attended the Poppies to Paddington - Railway 200 Remembrance Service at the Station's War Memorial on Platform One, and laid a wreath.

Her Majesty this afternoon held a Reception at Clarence House for the Booker Prize and the recently-announced Children's Booker Prize.

The King laid a wreath at the Cenotaph this morning on the occasion of Remembrance Day.

A wreath was laid on behalf of The Queen by Major Oliver Plunket.

Wreaths were also laid by The Prince of Wales and The Duke of Edinburgh.

Wreaths were laid on behalf of The Princess Royal by Lieutenant Colonel Catherine Skinner and on behalf of The Duke of Kent by Captain Pieter Myburgh.

The Queen, The Princess of Wales, The Duchess of Edinburgh, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and The Duke of Kent were present during the Ceremony.

The Duke of Edinburgh afterwards took the salute at the March Past of Ex-Servicemen and Civilian Organisations on Horse Guards Parade, London SW1.

The King, Patron, and Queen were present this evening at the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall.

The Princess of Wales, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were also present.

Her Excellency Mrs. Kristina Miskowiak Beckvard was received in audience by The King today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Kingdom of Denmark to the Court of St. James's.

Mr. Henrik Beckvard was also received by His Majesty.

Her Excellency Ms. Anaise Manuel was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Haiti to the Court of St. James's.

Mr. Stanislas Wojewodzki was also received by His Majesty.

His Excellency Mr. Sven Sakkov was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Estonia to the Court of St. James's.

Ms. Marika Flaur was also received by His Majesty.

Sir Oliver Robbins (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs) was present.

The Queen, Patron, the Royal British Legion Poppy Factory, this morning planted a Cross of Remembrance in the Field of Remembrance at St. Margaret's Church, Westminster Abbey, London SW1.

Her Majesty afterwards joined a Reception in St Margaret's Church.

Buckingham Palace

The King this morning visited Chatfield Health Centre (a medical centre offering specialist services to Armed Forces veterans), 50 Chatfield Road, London SW11, and was received by Miss Patricia Windsor (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London), the Senior Partner of the Centre (Dr. Waqaar Shah) and Dr. Shane Barker (General Practitioner).

His Majesty met veterans, members of staff, and representatives of local veteran health services and veteran support charities.

Later, The King spoke to The President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana via telephone.

The following were received in audience by The King this afternoon and kissed hands upon their appointment as His Majesty's Ambassadors: Ms. Juliana Correa (the Republic of Guatemala and non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Honduras), Mr. Bilal Zahid (the Slovak Republic), Ms. Joanne Olivier (the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg) and Mr. Alexander Pinfield (the Kingdom of Morocco).

Mr. Andrew Whitfield, Mr. Joshua Tyler Dillard and Mrs. Pinfield were also received by His Majesty.

Mr. Nicholas Low was received in audience by The King upon his appointment as British High Commissioner to the Republic of Maldives.

Mrs. Kárita Bezerra de Araújo Low was also received by His Majesty.

The Rt. Hon. Dr. Gordon Brown was received by The King when His Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Member of the Order of Companions of Honour.

The King this evening held a Reception for The Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering at St. James's Palace and presented the 2024 and 2025 Prizes.

The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were present at the Reception.

The Queen, Honorary Member, National Association of Care Catering, this morning held a Reception at Clarence House to mark Meals on Wheels Week.

Her Majesty, Patron, Royal Voluntary Service, held a Reception at Clarence House for the Charity's "Role of a Lunchtime" initiative to encourage volunteering.

The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, The Special Reconnaissance Regiment, this afternoon received the outgoing Commanding Officer and incoming Commanding Officer upon the change of command.

The Queen this evening held a Reception at Clarence House to mark the First Anniversary of the World Story Bank.

The King, Colonel-in-Chief, The Toronto Scottish Regiment (Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother's Own), this afternoon received Lieutenant Colonel Ann Lockhart (Commanding Officer), Colonel Harold Latner (Honorary Lieutenant Colonel), Chief Warrant Officer Glenn Fraser (Regimental Sergeant Major) and Brigadier General Julian Chapman (Chairman of the Regimental Senate) who presented a Coronation gift to His Majesty on behalf of the wider Regiment.
