The Duchess of Edinburgh this afternoon visited Hodhan women's business group and met members of a local loans and savings association.

Her Royal Highness afterwards laid wreaths at the graves of two British Soldiers in Wajir Cemetery.

The Duchess of Edinburgh this afternoon arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi, Kenya, and was received by Dr. Edward Barnett (Chargé d'Affaires, British High Commission, Nairobi), having completed a two day visit to Somalia, accompanied by Mr. Samuel Thomas (Chargé d'Affaires, British Embassy, Mogadishu), during which Her Royal Highness called upon The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia and met survivors of conflict-related sexual violence.

The Duchess of Edinburgh this evening attended a Dinner for representatives of Kenyan and United Nations civil society at the Residence of the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Kenya in Nairobi.

The King, Royal Founding Patron, the Turquoise Mountain Foundation, and Royal Founding Patron, The King's Foundation, and The Queen this morning visited the "Craftsmanship and Community: 20 Years of Turquoise Mountain" Exhibition at the Garrison Chapel, Chelsea Barracks, 8 Garrison Square, London SW1, to celebrate the Twentieth Anniversary of the Turquoise Mountain Foundation, and were received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), the President of the Turquoise Mountain Foundation (Mrs. Shoshana Stewart), the Co-Founder of the Turquoise Mountain Foundation (Mr. Rory Stewart), and the Deputy Chief Executive of The King's Foundation (Ms. Emily Cherrington).

Mr. Kumar Iyer was received by The King later upon his appointment as Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, the World Trade Organisation and other organisations in Geneva.

The King and Queen this evening held a Reception for Carers at Windsor Castle.

The Duchess of Edinburgh and The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were present.

The Queen, Patron, St. John's Foundation, this morning at Clarence House received Ms. Sandra Forbes upon assuming her appointment as Chairman of Trustees and Ms. Catharine Brown upon assuming her appointment as Chief Executive Officer.
