The Duke of Gloucester visits Berkshire

Earlier this week, The Duke of Gloucester carried out engagements in Berkshire. Read on for more.
Throughout the day, His Majesty toured Abbey Gateway and Ruins, visited the Churches in Reading Drop-In Centre and as Royal Patron of the British Museum, viewed the British Museum Archaeological Research Collection.
His Royal Highness also visited the newly named Royal Berkshire Archives to celebrate the recent name change from Berkshire Record Office and its 75th anniversary of preserving the unique history and heritage of the county.
The free exhibition has over 30 unique items on display. Highlights include documents related to caring for plague victims in Reading, depictions of a parade over Windsor Bridge, and a pamphlet from the Greenham Common Peace Camp.
Before departing, His Royal Highness unveiled a plaque to mark the occasion.
