The Princess Royal visits Peru

As a member of the International Olympic Committee, The Princess attended the IOC Session Lima, visited the International Potato Centre and attended a recepton for the Amazon Hope Medical Project, operated by the charity, The Vine Trust – to which the Princess is Patron.
The Princess Royal visited Peru last week to attend the IOC Session Lima. The session elected eight new members as well as awarding the next two Summer Games to Paris 2024 and Los Angeles 2028.
In 1988, The Princess was appointed a Member of the International Olympic Committee and regularly attends Olympic Games.
HRH has a long association with The Olympics, after competing in the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games on The Queen's horse Goodwill.
The Princess Royal was hosted by the British Ambassador to Peru Anwar Choudhury and attended a #FoodisGreat dinner – where British dishes were served with a unique Peruvian twist.
The Princess Royal also reception hosted by The Vine Trust, to which HRH is Patron, where HRH spoke about the charity’s Amazon Hope Medical Project in Peru. The Project provides basic health and dental care to over 160 remote communities in the Peruvian Amazon.
The Princess also visited the International Potato Center’s new gene bank in Lima to see how scientists there are working to end world hunger.
