In a Galaxy far, far, away...

The Duke of Cambridge, President of BAFTA, and Prince Harry visit the Star Wars film set at Pinewood Studios to recognise the wealth of British creative talent involved in the production of the Star Wars films.

The Duke and Prince Harry visited a number of production workshops to meet the specialist creative teams working behind the scenes on the Star Wars films.

Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey in The Force Awakens and in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VIII, accompanied them throughout the tour. The Duke and Prince Harry also had the great opportunity to meet Episode VIII director Rian Johnson, Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker, and other members of the cast involved in filming that day.

During their tour of the props workshop, Their Royal Highnesses grasped the chance for a lightsaber battle in the studio.

The Duke and Prince Harry had each got a hug from Chewbacca when they first arrived on the studio set and before they left the Prince had a chat with the actor inside the costume, Joonas Suotamo.

The Force Awakens - the seventh instalment of the series - saw the return of original cast members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill and was the highest grossing film of all time in the UK.
