The King hosts ‘Water and Climate’ Reception in support of WaterAid UK

The King, Patron of WaterAid, brought together changemakers, young leaders, decision-makers and guests for a reception with WaterAid.
At Buckingham Palace, The King, as Patron of WaterAid, has brought together changemakers, young leaders, decision-makers and guests for a reception with WaterAid.
His Majesty has long been a supporter of WaterAid, having been their President from 1991 to 2013 before becoming Patron in 2024. WaterAid is an international non-profit organisation whose goal is to change the world through water. They work alongside communities in 22 countries to ensure decent toilets, good hygiene and a reliable supply of clean water are available to everyone.
The reception, hosted at Buckingham Palace, provided the opportunity for His Majesty to meet with key members and supporters of WaterAid; and discuss the importance of clean water and helping to create a brighter, more resilient future for all.
During the reception, The King was able to experience the WaterAid immersive installation. The installation brought to life the connection between global water issues and climate change. Elizabeth Wathuti, a young Kenyan climate and environmental activist, joined His Majesty to view the installation.
