Saturday 15 October
The Duchess of Gloucester, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, took the salute at the Adjutant General's Corps' Freedom of Winchester Parade to mark the Thirtieth Anniversary of the Corps.
Sunday 16 October
The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester attended Evensong to celebrate the Feast of Dedication in Westminster Abbey, followed by the London Mayors' Association Reception at Westminster School.
Monday 17 October
In Aberdeen, The King joined a reception where he met Afghan, Syrian and Ukrainian families who have been supported by Government Schemes in the city.
His Majesty had the opportunity to hear personal stories from families on their evacuation, their arrival in Aberdeen and some of the challenges they have faced.
The King later received the President of the Gabonese Republic at Buckingham Palace, as the country celebrated becoming part of the Commonwealth.
His Majesty is Head of the Commonwealth, which now has 56 member nations.
At a reception at the Roundhouse in London, The Queen Consort presented Shehan Karunatilaka with the 2022 Booker Prize.
The 2022 Ceremony was the first in-person ceremony since 2019, and the seventh time Her Majesty has presented the award.
Tuesday 18 October
The King and The Queen Consort visited Project Zero in Walthamstow in London, which is dedicated to engaging young people in positive activities, promoting social inclusion and strengthening community cohesion.
Their Majesties learnt about the meaningful work Project Zero are doing for the members of their local community by meeting staff delivering some of the many programmes on offer, from coding and music production, to performing arts and mental health support services.
The Princess Royal hosted two Investiture Ceremonies at Windsor Castle, with the actor Daniel Craig receiving the Order of St Michael and St George – the same honour held by James Bond.
Wednesday 19 October
The President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo visited The King at Buckingham Palace.
In Scotland, The Princess Royal as Patron of Seagull Trust Cruises, visited their recently recommissioned Canal boat, before also visiting Sense Scotland’s TouchBase Dunbartonshire site.
Her Royal Highness is Patron of Sense, a charity that provides help for people with communication support needs, and their TouchBase facility is a community resource centre for adults who need their support.
Princess Alexandra this afternoon visited the Royal Porcelain Works, Severn Street, Worcester.
Thursday 20 October
His Majesty The King’s hosted his first Credentials presentations, where His Excellency Mr. Vadym Prystaiko presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Ukraine to the Court of St. James’s.
His Excellency Mr. Moazzam Ahmad Khan presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in London.
Credentials are an important part of the Monarch’s work on behalf of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. The presentation of Credentials is a formal ceremony in which a newly appointed Ambassador or High Commissioner to the Court of St James’s presents their Letters of Credence or High Commission (known as Credentials) to the Monarch.
The Letters are addressed to The King, asking him to give 'credence' to the new Ambassador or High Commissioner. In other words, it confirms that His Majesty can trust the new appointment to speak on behalf of their country.
His Majesty also received the President of Togo.
As President of the Riding for the Disabled Association, The Princess Royal visited the Ashmount, Ruddington and Wenlo Groups at Meadow School of Riding.
Friday 21 October
The King sent a message to the President of Nigeria following the devastating floods in the country:
I know that the United Kingdom stands in solidarity with Nigeria as you recover from these truly terrible events.
The Princess Royal was in Devon and Cornwall, starting the day by launching the National Centre for Coastal Autonomy at Plymouth Marine Laboratory.
Her Royal Highness later visited Goonhilly Earl Station and Spaceport Cornwall’s integration facility at Cornwall Airport in Newquay.
