Day one of #RoyalVisitIndia
Published 09/04/2016
Day One of #RoyalVisitIndia is complete, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have received a fantastic welcome in Mumbai.
Their day began at the Taj Palace hotel, where they laid a wreath at the Memorial for the victims of the 2008 terrorist attack.
The Duke and Duchess then went to the Oval Maiden and joined children being helped by three fantastic charities - Magic Bus, Childline, and Doorstep - for a game of cricket.
They then visited Banganga Water Tank and found out how SMILE, a local NGO, is helping this community develop local businesses.
Finally The Duke and Duchess joined the stars of Bollywood for a charity gala hosted by The British High Commission and The British Asian Trust.
