The Duchess of Edinburgh this morning attended a Service to celebrate the Eightieth Anniversary of Homecoming Day at St. Anne's Church, Alderney, and was received by the Lieutenant-Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Bailiwick of Guernsey (Lieutenant General Sir Richard Cripwell).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Alderney Museum, High Street, St. Anne, Alderney.

The Duchess of Edinburgh later attended a Reception for Homecoming Day at Island Hall, Alderney.

The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, this evening dedicated a rose at the "Ever After Garden", Duke of York's Square, King's Road, London SW3.

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal this morning took the salute at the Sovereign's Parade, Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Camberley, Surrey, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Mr. Michael More-Molyneux) and Mr. Graham Barker (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire).

His Excellency Mr. Teemu Turunen was received in audience by The King today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Finland to the Court of St. James's.

Mrs. Mäki-Turunen was also received by His Majesty.

His Excellency Mr. Ashraf Swelam was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Court of St. James's.

Mrs. Jumana Shehata was also received by His Majesty.

Her Excellency Ms. Loreen Bannis-Roberts was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for the Commonwealth of Dominica in London.

Mr. McDonald Roberts was also received by His Majesty.

Sir Oliver Robbins (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs) was present.

The Queen, Patron, Helen and Douglas House, this morning received Ms. Jane Long upon relinquishing her appointment as Chief Executive Officer and Mr. David Whittingham upon assuming the appointment.

Her Majesty, Royal Patron, Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity, received Ms. Carolyn Bradley upon assuming her appointment as Chairman.

The Queen, Patron, Helen and Douglas House, and Royal Patron, Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity, today received children and young people from the charities and helped them to decorate the Christmas Tree at Clarence House.
