Balmoral Castle
The King this morning officially opened Brora Heritage Centre, Coal Pit Road, Fascally, Brora, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Sutherland (Major General Patrick Marriott) and the Chairman of Clyne Heritage Society (Dr. Nicholas Lindsay).
His Majesty toured the building and met members of staff and volunteers.
The King today visited Royal Air Force Lossiemouth and was received at the Poseidon Line Squadron by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Moray (Air Commodore Alistair Monkman), the Station Commander (Group Captain Sarah Brewin) and Air Vice-Marshal Mark Jackson (Air Officer Commanding Number One Group).
His Majesty was received on Parade with a Royal Salute and inspected the Guard of Honour, before presenting No. 42 (Torpedo Bomber) Squadron with a New Standard and witnessing a fly-past by a Poseidon and two Typhoon aircraft.
The King was graciously pleased to address the Parade and Wing Commander Colin Bostrom (Parade Commander and Officer Commanding No. 42 (Torpedo Bomber) Squadron) replied.
The Parade subsequently marched past His Majesty.
The King afterwards met Royal Air Force Lossiemouth Service personnel, their families and members of the Royal Air Force Lossiemouth community, before viewing Typhoon and P-8 Poseidon aircraft.

The Princess Royal, having been received by His Majesty's Ambassador to Ireland (His Excellency Mr. Paul Johnston), this morning was received by The President of Ireland and Mrs. Sabina Higgins at Áras an Uachtaráin, Phoenix Park, Dublin.
Her Royal Highness this afternoon attended the Royal Dublin Society Horse Show, Merrion Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin, to mark its One Hundredth and Fiftieth Anniversary.
Kensington Palace
The Duke of Kent, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys), this morning presented The Duke of Kent Medal to Mr. James Malcolmson (The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Regimental Association).
Brigadier Ben Edwards (Colonel) was present.

His Majesty, as Chieftain, this afternoon attended the Mey Highland Games, John O'Groats, Caithness, and was received by the Chairman (Mr. Andrew Sinclair).

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, this morning attended the Tattoo Dress Rehearsal at Redford Barracks, Colinton Road, Edinburgh, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Robert Aldridge, the Rt. Hon. the Lord Provost).

The Princess Royal, Vice Patron, the British Horse Society, this morning visited the Stable Mates Plus (North-West Region) Programme at Aintree Equestrian Centre, Ormskirk Road, Aintree, Liverpool, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside (Mr. Mark Blundell).
Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited the following companies to mark the Three Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of milling in Cheshire.
The Princess Royal opened Morning Foods Limited's Oat Milling Centre of Excellence at North Western Mills, Crewe, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire (Lady Redmond).
Her Royal Highness later opened H. J. Lea Oakes Limited's Equine Centre of Excellence at Malpas Mill, Malpas, and was received by Mrs. Susan Sellers (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire).

The Duke of Gloucester, President, Three Choirs Festival, and The Duchess of Gloucester this evening attended a performance of Handel's "Alexander's Feast" in Hereford Cathedral and were received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Herefordshire (Mr. Edward Harley).

The King this morning attended the Society of Caithness Artists' Ninetieth Annual Exhibition at University of the Highlands and Islands' Thurso Campus, Ormlie Road, Thurso, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Caithness (the Viscount Thurso) and the Chairman of the Society (Mr. Ian Pearson).
His Majesty viewed exhibits and met exhibiting artists.
The King, having been received by the Chief Executive of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (Mr. David Peattie) and the Deputy Harbour Master of Scrabster Harbour (Mr. Ross Farquhar), afterwards attended a Reception at Fish Market Hall, Jubilee Pier, Scrabster Harbour, Thurso, given by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority to mark the Seventieth Anniversary of the Dounreay Nuclear site, the Fiftieth Anniversary of Pacific Nuclear Transport Limited and the Twentieth Anniversary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
His Majesty met the crew of PACIFIC HERON and local representatives of the nuclear industry.
By command of The King, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon Her Excellency Mrs. Marie Chatardova at 26 Kensington Palace Gardens, London W8, today in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as Ambassador from the Czech Republic to the Court of St. James's.
