His Majesty later drove to the United States Capitol and was received at the House of Representatives by the Speaker of the House of Representatives (the Hon. Mike Johnson) and the House Sergeant at Arms (Mr. William McFarland).

The King held a Meeting with members of the Congressional Leadership, and The Queen subsequently joined the Meeting.

His Majesty, accompanied by Her Majesty, escorted by the House Sergeant at Arms and the Senate Sergeant at Arms (Ms. Jennifer Hemingway), afterwards proceeded to the Chamber of the House of Representatives and The King addressed a Joint Meeting of the United States Congress.

The King later attended a Reception for representatives of the technology industry at Blair House and was received by Mr. Varun Chandra (the Prime Minister's Special Envoy to the United States on Trade and Investment).

The King and Queen were entertained this evening at a State Dinner given by The President of the United States of America and Mrs. Trump at the White House.

The Queen, with Mrs. Trump, in the grounds of the White House, this morning met schoolchildren studying artefacts linked to the United States of America Two Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of Independence.

Their Majesties were received at the Station by the Lord Benyon (Lord Chamberlain) and Mr. James Macnamara (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire).

The King and Queen this afternoon arrived at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, and were received by His Majesty's Ambassador to the United States of America (His Excellency Sir Christian Turner), Ms. Monica Crowley (Chief of Protocol of the United States) and Colonel Christopher Robinson (United States Air Force Commander, 89th Airlift Wing).

Their Majesties were received with a Royal Salute.

The King and Queen subsequently drove to Blair House, Washington DC.

The King and Queen visited The President of the United States of America and Mrs. Trump at the White House.

Their Majesties later attended a Garden Party given by His Majesty's Ambassador to the United States of America at the Residence and were received by Mr. James Roscoe (Deputy Head of Mission, British Embassy in Washington).

At the Garden Party, The King and Queen placed a Commemorative Coin, minted by the Royal Mint to celebrate the Two Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, inside a Time Capsule commissioned as part of the America 250 Twin Time Capsule Project.
