The Duchess of Edinburgh this morning arrived in Ethiopia and was received at Adis Ababa Bole International Airport by His Majesty's Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (His Excellency Mr. Darren Welch).

The King this morning drove to the old Gairnshiel Bridge, near Ballater, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire (Mr. Alexander Manson) and Mr. Donald MacPherson (Head of Bridges Team, Aberdeenshire Council).
His Majesty was received with a Royal Salute by the Lonach Highlanders.
The King afterwards walked to the new bridge, was received by Mrs. Judy Whyte (Provost of Aberdeenshire) and officially opened the new Gairnshiel Jubilee Bridge.
