#AskACurator Day

This year, for the first time, Royal Collection Trust have taken part in #AskACurator Day.

#AskACurator is a global twitter-based event that connects experts from museums and galleries with fans from across the world.

This year 1519 museums from 58 countries have taken part including, for the first time, Royal Collection Trust.

Royal Collection Trust is one of the five departments of The Royal Household, which cares for and manages The Royal Collection, one of the most important art collections in the world.

The Collection is a unique and valuable record of the personal tastes of Kings and Queens over the past 500 years and is widely displayed throughout thirteen Royal residences and former residences, as well as in numerous museums and galleries in the UK and abroad.

The Royal Collection is held in trust by The Queen as Sovereign for her successors and the nation. It is not owned by Her as a private individual.

Take a look at some of the questions and answers:

Rosie - Curator of Prints and Drawings

Lucy - Senior Curator of Paintings

Sally - Assistant Curator of Decorative Arts

You can view the collection in person at a number different Royal Residences, museums and galleries across the UK and abroad. You can also explore 250,000 plus items online.
