    The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this morning attended the launch of the National Emergencies Trust at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, London WC2, and were received by the Lord Dannatt (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London). His Royal Highness, Patron, London's Air Ambulance during the Charity's Thirtieth Anniversary, this evening attended a Gala Ball at Rosewood London, 252 High Holborn, London WC1, to mark the finale of the "30 Years Saving Lives" campaign and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London). The Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon attended a Meeting with the BBC Children's and Education's team at Old Broadcasting House, Portland Place, London W1. Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, afterwards attended a Meeting with the Lord Hall of Birkenhead (Director General, the British Broadcasting Corporation) at Old Broadcasting House.

    The Prince of Wales, Patron, World Resources Institute, this afternoon attended a Meeting of the Food and Land Use Coalition at the Royal Society, Carlton House Terrace, London SW1, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa). His Royal Highness later held a Meeting at Clarence House with the Sustainable Markets' Council. The Prince of Wales this evening held a Dinner at Clarence House for the Sustainable Markets' Council.

    Buckingham Palace

    Major General Benjamin Bathurst was received by The Queen today upon relinquishing his appointment as Major General Commanding Household Division when Her Majesty conferred upon him the honour of Knighthood and invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order. The following members of Her Majesty's Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms were received by The Queen: Colonel Christopher MacKenzie-Beevor who delivered up his Stick of Office upon his retirement as Lieutenant, Lieutenant Colonel John Kaye who delivered up his Stick of Office upon relinquishing his appointment as Clerk of the Cheque and Adjutant and received his Stick of Office upon his appointment as Lieutenant, and Colonel Peter Flach who received his Stick of Office upon his appointment as Clerk of the Cheque and Adjutant. The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

His Royal Highness later visited Waltham Forest Construction Training Centre, Hollydown Way, Leytonstone, London E11.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Wooden Spoon Society, this evening attended a Reception at the House of Lords, London SW1. The Princess Royal afterwards attended the Royal Warrant Holders Association Banquet at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London W1, and was received by Mr. Kevin Traverse-Healy (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

    The Rt. Hon. Boris Johnson (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this morning. Her Majesty later visited the Royal British Legion Industries Extra Care Facility, Appleton Lodge, 14 Milner Road, Aylesford, to celebrate the Charity's Centenary and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Kent (the Viscount De L'Isle) and the Chairman of Royal British Legion Industries (Mr. Stephen Kingsman). The Queen toured the new Care Facility, escorted by Mr. Stephen Sherry (Chief Executive), met residents and their families, other residents and local schoolchildren reading and further residents carrying out various activities, before meeting trustees and supporters and officially opening the new Care Facility. Her Majesty this afternoon visited the Royal British Legion Industries Centenary Village at Victory House, Richard Corben Way, Aylesford, and viewed an apartment and plans for the future development of the Centenary Village before meeting Friends and volunteers, trustees and staff. The Queen placed a commemorative time capsule in the garden of the village. Afterwards Her Majesty was entertained to Luncheon by the Chairman. The Queen held a Council at 6.00 p.m.. There were present: the Rt. Hon. Jacob Rees-Mogg (Lord President), the Rt. Hon. Robert Buckland (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice), the Rt. Hon. Alister Jack (Secretary of State for Scotland) and the Rt. Hon. Alok Sharma (Secretary of State for International Development). The Lord Ashton of Hyde, the Rt. Hon. Conor Burns, the Rt. Hon. Zacharias Goldsmith, the Rt. Hon. Alec Shelbrooke, the Rt. Hon. Christopher Skidmore and the Rt. Hon. Rishi Sunak were sworn in as members of Her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council. Mr. Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council. The Rt. Hon. Jacob Rees-Mogg had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council. By command of The Queen, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Rui Jorge Carneiro Mangueira at 22 Dorset Street, London W1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Angola to the Court of St. James's.

His Royal Highness later presented The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service to Surrey Hills Society at Albury Saxon Church, Albury Park, Guildford. The Earl of Wessex this afternoon visited Silent Pool Artisan Hub, Shere Road, Albury, Guildford, and opened Mandira's Kitchen. His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Luncheon at Albury Organic Vineyard, Silent Pool. The Countess of Wessex this morning planted a commemorative tree at the Residence of Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway in Oslo to mark the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the Birth of Queen Maud. Her Royal Highness later attended the International Civil Society Action Network Forum at the Nobel Peace Centre, Brynjulf Bulls plass, Oslo. The Countess of Wessex afterwards attended a Meeting with Ms. Marita Sorheim-Rensvik (Norwegian Special Representative for Women, Peace and Security, Department of United Nations and Humanitarian Affairs) at the Nobel Peace Centre. Her Royal Highness this afternoon arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Norway. Mr. Alexander Stonor was in attendance.
