RADA's world-leading training in the dramatic and production arts nurtures creative expression, empowers individuals and seeks to influence positive change in the creative industries and wider community.

The late Queen is pictured on a visit to RADA in 1980.

The Academy’s association with the Royal Family goes back over 100 years, stemming from their Royal Charter granted in 1920. The late Queen Elizabeth II held the Patronage of RADA from 1952 until her death in 2022.

On arrival, Their Majesties were introduced to former students: actor and President of RADA, David Harewood, and actress, singer and Vice President, Cynthia Erivo.
