The Duke of Edinburgh has undertaken a series of military engagements in Estonia.

His Royal Highness, in his capacity as Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Dragoon Guards, visited troops currently deployed to Estonia and attended a training exercise in Harju County.

This cold weather operator course takes place every year in Estonia and involves soldiers spending two nights in a forest, learning how to build camps, make fires and find food and water.

Afterwards, The Duke visited Tapa Camp, an army base in Laane-Viru County.

His Royal Highness was appointed Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Dragoon Guards, a position previously held by The King, in 2023.

The Duke of Edinburgh meets the President of Estonia

During the official visit, The Duke of Edinburgh also met President Alar Karis at Kadriorg.
