The Princess Royal, Patron of English Rural, opened a new affordable housing development in Kent. Recently completed, the small development of four new homes at ‘Goldfield’ will provide two houses and two flats that will benefit local people in Warehorne.

Her Royal Highness met new resident Jessie and her sons. Together they showed The Princess around their new home.  All of the homes have been made available at rents that are affordable to local people living, working in or with close family connections to the village.

The Princess had the opportunity to meet housing staff, builders, architects, funders and parish councillors. Together, this group had worked hard to create the new development.​

Later, at  Medway Hospital, Her Royal Highness, Patron of The Royal College of Midwives, congratulated the Maternity Ward on receiving the Midwifery Service of the Year Award 2019.

Whilst in the ward, Her Royal Highness met 11-hour-old Noah and his parents.

As Patron of The Royal College of Emergency Medicine, The Princess Royal also visited staff in the Paediatric Emergency Department.
