You are all Invictus. You are now ambassadors for the spirit of these games. Spread the word. Never stop fighting. And do all you can to lift up everyone around you.

I cannot tell you how proud and excited I am to open the second Invictus games here in America

I can’t wait to see how Canada embraces the games and rises to the challenge of telling Chapter 3 of the Invictus story

Trust them, trust yourselves – for you had the same training.

Invictus 2016 is going to be a huge success – let’s get out there and let’s make this happen.

It has been one of the most competitive and entertaining world cups ever.

We literally have the bravest children in the UK in this room.

I know you will all be fearsomely proud of being a part of this team.

It's up to every one of us, to raise the roof on each match in this unforgettable journey.

Over the next six weeks, this competition will reach people from all corners of the globe.

I hope that wherever the future takes you, that you will continue to be role models and to inspire others through sport.

These men and women would no longer be defined by their injuries but as competitors, athletes and team mates.

This is a generation that urgently needs our help, for their future and the future prosperity of Africa.

These games have shown the very best of the human spirit.

The Invictus Games this September will give these inspirational people the opportunity to showcase their talent and in doing so, prove that anything is really possible.

It just takes a single visit and you’re in love with the place and its people.

Their resilience is astounding and makes me feel extremely humble.
