The King, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Tank Regiment, today attended the Regiment's Families' Day at the Tank Museum, Bovington, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset (Mr. Michael Dooley), the Colonel Commandant (Brigadier Simon Ridgway) and the Chief Operating Officer of the Tank Museum (Mr. Simon Prager).
His Majesty arrived at the Tank Museum in a Rolls-Royce Armoured Car and met members of Museum staff in the World War One Tank Story Hall.
The King afterwards was received on parade with a Royal Salute and presented Service medals to soldiers.
His Majesty subsequently attended a Reception with members of the Regiment and their families, before viewing Challenger 2 and Challenger 3 Main Battle Tanks at the Museum's Conservation Centre.

The King today visited Jedburgh, Roxburghshire, Scottish Borders, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Roxburgh, Ettrick and Lauderdale (Mr. John Jeffrey).
His Majesty this morning met traders, artists and community volunteers at Jedforest Instrumental Bandstand and Park.
The King afterwards visited the Jed Shed, 15 Abbey Place, and, having been received by the Founder (Mr. Trevor Gallon), viewed a carpentry demonstration and met members of the Shed.
His Majesty walked to the Market Square and was received by the Convenor of Jethart Callant's Festival (Mr. Bob MacDonald) before viewing a horseback cavalcade along the High Street, led by the Callant.
