Hillsborough Castle

The King this morning visited Newcastle Community Cinema, St. Mary's Hall, Main Street, Newcastle, and was received by Mr. Peter Conway (Deputy Lieutenant of County Down) and the Chairman of the Cinema (Mr. Rob Manley).

His Majesty viewed the Box Office and Auditorium, before being shown technical equipment and meeting volunteers, members of the cast and crew of "A Quiet Love" and representatives of the film and cinema industry.

The King this afternoon visited Donard Methodist Church, 37 Central Promenade, Newcastle, to mark its Bicentenary and was received by Mr. Richard Flood (Deputy Lieutenant of County Down) and the Minister (the Reverend Dr. Richard Wright).

His Majesty, escorted by the Minister, visited the Pantry Foodbank housed within the Church and subsequently met representatives of community support groups, charities and organisations.

The King afterwards met local residents outside the Church.

Later, His Majesty received representatives of Historic Royal Palaces at Hillsborough Castle.

The King afterwards presented Elizabeth Emblems.

The King and Queen subsequently attended an Afternoon Party in the garden of Hillsborough Castle.

The Queen, having been received by Mrs. Amanda Blackmore (Deputy Lieutenant of County Down), this morning visited the Parson's Nose, 48 Lisburn Street, Hillsborough, and joined a Reception with representatives of local businesses.

Her Majesty afterwards visited E.R. Wilson, 1 Main Street, Hillsborough.

The Queen visited Arthur's 4-6 Main Street, Hillsborough.

Her Majesty subsequently met local residents in Main Street.

The Queen later received Mrs. Cara Murphy (Silversmith) at Hillsborough Castle.

St. James's Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh this morning received the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario (the Hon. Edith Dumont).

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, this morning and this afternoon held Receptions in the garden of Buckingham Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.

The British Army Band Catterick and the Band of the Royal Air Force Squadronaires played selections of music during the day.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, this afternoon held a Luncheon at St. James's Palace.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, this morning attended a Meeting with Health Leaders from Pacific Island States at the Residence of the United Kingdom Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, the World Trade Organisation and other organisations in Geneva.

Her Royal Highness later visited the United Nations Human Rights Council, Palais des Nations, Avenue de la Paix, Geneva.

The Duchess of Edinburgh this afternoon arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Switzerland.

Mr. Alexander Stonor was in attendance.

Hillsborough Castle

The King and Queen this afternoon arrived in Belfast and were received at Alexandra Dock, Queen's Road, by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the County Borough of Belfast (Dame Fionnuala Jay-O'Boyle), the President of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (Mrs. Attracta Ní Bhrádaigh), the Chairman of Ards Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (Mr. Niall McClean) and the Rt. Hon. the Lord Mayor of Belfast (Councillor Tracy Kelly).

His Majesty, escorted by the Chief Executive of Belfast City Council (Mr. John Walsh) and Her Majesty, escorted by the Chairman of Ards Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, proceeded along the Dock's walkway and, in advance of the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, viewed musical performances, before joining children playing the bodhran and viewing a reel and demonstration of the uilleann pipes.

The King and Queen afterwards visited Titanic Distillers, Thompson Dock, Titanic Dock and Pumphouse, Queen's Road, Belfast, and were received by the Founder (Mr. Peter Lavery) and Mr. Stephen Symington (Chief Executive Officer).

His Majesty, escorted by the Chief Executive Officer, and Her Majesty, escorted by Ms. Siobhán Winston (General Manager), toured the distillery and met members of staff.

The King, Royal Founding Patron, The King's Trust, subsequently visited W5 LIFE (Learning Innovation for Everyone), 2 Queen's Quay, Belfast, and was received by Mrs. Anne McGregor (Deputy Lieutenant of the County Borough of Belfast), the Director of The King's Trust Northern Ireland (Mr. Mark Dougan) and the Chairman of The King's Trust's Fiftieth Anniversary Campaign (the Earl of Caledon).

His Majesty participated in a robotics demonstration and met young people and King's Trust volunteers.

Later, The King and Queen arrived at Hillsborough Castle and were received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of County Down (Mr. Gawn Rowan Hamilton).

Ms. Michelle O'Neill MLA (First Minister of Northern Ireland) and Mrs. Emma Little-Pengelly MLA (deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland) were received by Their Majesties at Hillsborough Castle and afterwards had audiences with The King.

The Queen this afternoon visited Fane Street Primary School, Fane Street, Belfast, and was received by Mr. Alan Logan (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of the County Borough of Belfast).

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The King, held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

Kensington Palace

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall this afternoon received Mr. William Bax (Secretary of the Duchy of Cornwall) and Mr. Hugo van Vredenburch (Lord Warden of the Stannaries) at Windsor Castle.

St. James's Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh this morning attended the Education World Forum at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Broad Sanctuary, London SW1.

His Royal Highness, Chaiman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation, afterwards attended a Meeting with the Hon. Paul Calandra (Minister of Education of Ontario) at Canada House, Trafalgar Square, London SW1.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, Northern Ballet, this evening attended a performance of "Gentleman Jack" at Sadler's Wells Theatre, Rosebery Avenue, London EC1.

The Duchess of Edinburgh this morning departed from Heathrow Airport, London, and, having been received upon arrival at Geneva Airport, Switzerland, by Mr. Jamie Hamill (Deputy Head of Mission, United Kingdom Mission to the United Nations, the World Trade Organisation and other organisations in Geneva), undertook engagements in Geneva.

Her Royal Highness visited the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum, Avenue de la Paix.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, this afternoon attended 'the Value of Vision: the Roadmap to the Global Summit for Eye Health' event at the Headquarters of the World Health Organisation in Geneva, Avenue Appia.

Her Royal Highness later visited the Commonwealth Small States Office, Rue du Pré-de-la-Bichette.

The Duchess of Edinburgh this evening attended a Reception in recognition of Multilateralism and International Law at the Residence and was received by Mr. Kumar Iyer (United Kingdom Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, the World Trade Organisation and other organisations in Geneva).

Her Royal Highness, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, later held a Dinner.

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal, President, the City and Guilds of London Institute, this morning received Ms. Jessica Leigh Jones (Chairman Elect, the City and Guilds Foundation) and Mr. Michael Adamson (Interim Chief Executive).

Her Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal Corps of Signals, received Colonel Nicholas Bruce upon relinquishing his appointment as Corps Colonel and Colonel Edward Swift upon assuming the appointment.

The Princess Royal, Royal Patron, Voluntary Service Overseas, afterwards held a Reception at Buckingham Palace.

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Not Forgotten Association, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, later held an Afternoon Party at Buckingham Palace.

The Band of the Royal Marines Portsmouth played selections of music during the afternoon.

Her Royal Highness, Colonel, The Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons), this evening attended a Household Cavalry Council Meeting and Dinner at Hyde Park Barracks, London SW7.

Kensington Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, having been received by Colonel Simon Duckworth (a Lieutenant of the City of London), this morning attended the National Service of Recognition, Remembrance and Reflection for the community of people infected and affected by the contaminated blood scandal in St. Paul's Cathedral, London EC4.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Protector, the Anglo-Danish Society's Scholarship Programme, this evening attended a Reception at the Residence of the Danish Ambassador in London.

Buckingham Palace

The King this afternoon visited Sanderson Design Group, Voysey House, Sandersons Lane, London W4, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa) and the Chairman (Dame Dianne Thompson).

His Majesty, escorted by Ms. Lisa Montague (Chief Executive), viewed the design and creative studios, before viewing Sanderson fabric samples and archival pieces and meeting in-house designers, archivists and further members of staff.

The King held a Council at St. James's Palace at 2.20 p.m..

There were present: the Rt. Hon. Sir Alan Campbell MP (Lord President), the Rt. Hon. Hilary Benn MP (Secretary of State for Northern Ireland), the Rt. Hon. James Murray MP (Secretary of State for Health and Social Care), the Rt. Hon. Sir Mark Tami MP (Treasurer of His Majesty's Household) and the Rt. Hon. Nicklaus Thomas-Symonds (Paymaster General and Minister for the Cabinet Office).

The Rt. Hon. James Murray MP received the Seals of Office as Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, took the Oath of Office and kissed hands on appointment.

Mrs. Ceri King and Mr. Niall Clarke-Petty were in attendance as Deputy Clerks of the Council.

The Rt. Hon. Sir Clive Alderton (Principal Private Secretary to Their Majesties) was in attendance.

The Rt. Hon. Sir Alan Campbell MP had an audience of His Majesty before the Council.

Later, The President of Ireland and Mr. Brian McEnery visited The King, and His Majesty held a Meeting with Her Excellency.

The King, Patron, Royal Horticultural Society, and The Queen this evening visited the Chelsea Flower Show in the Gardens of the Royal Hospital, Chelsea.

The Prince of Wales, Founder and President, the Earthshot Prize, this morning held a Meeting with Mrs. Roshni Nadar Malhotra (Chairman, HCL Technologies Limited) via video link.

St. James's Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh this evening visited the Chelsea Flower Show of the Royal Horticultural Society in the Gardens of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, London SW3.
