Tuesday 30 May
The King presented Royal Victorian Order honours to around 150 Royal Naval personnel who took part in Queen Elizabeth II’s Funeral Procession.
The service personnel that were recognised by His Majesty for their role, included over 100 Naval Ratings who drew the State Gun Carriage, bearing Her late Majesty’s coffin, during the Funeral Processions in London on 19th September 2022.
The Royal Naval personnel were appointed to the Royal Victorian Order by The King in March 2023, as part of the demise honours list, which is normally published following the death of the Monarch to recognise those who have provided personal service to the Sovereign.
Wednesday 31 May
At Buckingham Palace, The King held a number of Audiences at Buckingham Palace, including welcoming members of the Grenadier Guards who presented His Majesty with a sculpture commissioned to mark the Coronation.
Thursday 1 June
His Excellency Mr. Andrew Gomez was received by The King upon his appointment as High Commissioner for the Commonwealth of the Bahamas in London.
The Queen visited the British Racing School to mark their 40th anniversary.
With over 25 specialist racing courses on offer, the school's flagship programme is the Foundation Course, a Level 2 diploma apprenticeship for 16-25 year olds, which prepares young people for jobs as stable staff; riding and looking after the sport’s racehorses. To date, some 4,000 young people have successfully completed the course and gone onto work in the industry including some of the world’s top jockeys and every Champion Apprentice jockey from the past 10 years.
The visit started at the Newmarket Pony Academy (NPA) stables accompanied by the Chief Executive of The British Racing School, Andrew Braithwaite. Her Majesty met local school children and students from the Riding A Dream Academy grooming the horses and then, from the viewing gallery, watched students of the Flexible Learning Programme during a training lesson.
The Prince and Princess of Wales were present at the Marriage of The Crown Prince of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with Miss Rajwa Al Saif which took place at the Zahran Palace, Amman in Jordan.
The Princess Royal was in Winchester as the Royal Logistic Corps celebrated their 30th anniversary with a freedom parade in the city.
Her Royal Highness is Colonel-in-Chief of the Corps who were formed in 1993 from the amalgamation of the Royal Corps of Transport, the Royal Army Ordnance Corps, the Royal Pioneer Corps, the Army Catering Corps and the Postal and Courier Branch of the Royal Engineers. They provide from a wide range of trades including, Chef’s, drivers, communications specialists, postal and courier operators and logisticians.
After inspecting the parade, which involved over 500 personnel, The Princess attended a Service of Thanksgiving at Winchester Cathedral.
Friday 2 June
The King arrived in Romania at the start of a private visit, which commenced with some official elements. His Majesty was welcomed with a a Guard of Honour at Cotroceni Palace, before undertaking a bilateral meeting with President Iohannis.
The President then hosted a reception in His Majesty’s honour, in Union Hall at Cotroceni Palace, marking 25 years since The King first visited the country.

Kensington Palace shared a video of when The Prince of Wales was reunited with Jack Beeton, whose life was saved by the East Anglian Air Ambulance - with His Royal Highness working as the helicopter pilot that day.
