The Duchess of Edinburgh attends Anzac Day commemorations in London

The Duchess of Edinburgh has attended services commemorating Anzac Day in London.

On the 110th anniversary of Anzac Day, Her Royal Highness has attended services to mark the anniversary and commemorate the Fallen.
Anzac Day has been observed in London since King George V attended the first service at Westminster Abbey in 1916 to mark the anniversary of the landings at Gallipoli in 1915. Since then, the services have become an important moment to commemorate all Australians and New Zealanders who lost their lives in conflict and recognise all those who have served.
The Duchess began the day by attending a Dawn Service at Hyde Park Corner.

Then, Her Royal Highness attended the Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Cenotaph and laid a wreath on behalf of The King.

Finally, The Duchess attended a Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey where the sacrifices of Australian and New Zealand forces were remembered.
