The Duchess of Edinburgh, Patron, has visited the studios of the Central School of Ballet, The Countess of Wessex Studios.

The Countess of Wessex Studios, opened in 2020 by Her Royal Highness, were named in recognition of her patronage and support of the school.
The Duchess has been Patron since 2003 and has visited the School on a number of occasions.

During the visit, The Duchess had the opportunity to see the success the studio has had in providing training for a range of children and young people as well as meet staff and students from the school.

Then, she observed students in their dance class as well as rehearsals for an upcoming summer performance.

Her Royal Highness met students of all ages from the School, from students who are hoping to embark on a professional dancing career to students of 8-years-old learning to dance.
Her Royal Highness also watched a performance of ‘Foyer de danse’ by Year 3 Undergraduate Students and choreographed by Frederick Ashton. Following the performance, The Duchess met the performers and discussed their 2025 tour.
