The Duchess of Cornwall attends London Fashion Week

The Duchess of Cornwall today attended London Fashion Week to present the London Queen Elizabeth II Award for Design on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen and meet young and upcoming designers.
Her Royal Highness presented designer Bethany Williams with QEII Award for British Design. For her latest collection, Williams made clothes from newspaper waste and recycled denim, and worked with Adelaide House, a women’s shelter in Liverpool.

Williams keeps sustainability and social change at the heart of her business ethos – all of the garments used are 100% sustainable and a portion of the proceeds is returned to charity partners.
The QEII Award for British Design was initiated in recognition of the role the fashion industry plays in society and diplomacy.
The inaugural award was announced and presented to Richard Quinn in February 2018, when The Queen made a surprise visit to London Fashion Week.
