The Duchess of Cornwall attends the premiere of ‘Riding a Dream’ in Brixton

The Duchess of Cornwall tonight attended the premiere of ‘Riding a Dream’, a new documentary about Khadijah Mellah, the first British Muslim woman to win a horse race in the UK.
The short documentary follows the story of Khadijah, 18, from Peckham, South London, who made global headlines this summer when she won the Magnolia Cup during the Glorious Goodwood festival. It documents the teenager's journey from the Ebony Horse Club, a community riding centre, to competing against professional riders.
The premiere took place at the Ritzy Cinema in Brixton and was attended by family and friends.
Based in Brixton, Ebony Horse Club has managed to provide 1,700 rides to 110 riders per week to young people based across London and has helped children learn new skills and take on responsibility in the racing industry. The Duchess of Cornwall is President of the charity.
Her Royal Highness previously met Khadijah at a reception a Clarence House a few weeks before her victory.
The 25-minute film about Khadijah’s journey will be shown on ITV at 11.45am on Saturday 2nd November.
