The RAF Pebble Project
The Royal Air Force (RAF) celebrates its centenary in 2018 and to mark the occasion, events and activities are being held throughout the year to reflect on the RAF's history and achievements and look forward to the next 100 years.
As part of RAF 100 events, RAF Halton has designed a fun activity to raise awareness of the RAF and RAF 100. The Duchess of Cornwall, Honorary Air Commodore of RAF Halton, is joining in with the Pebble Project!
100 pebbles have been painted with their own unique design and are being placed around Halton, Buckinghamshire. The pebbles are making their way around the country and even overseas as people find and hide them in new places. The aim is to see how far the pebbles will go, with people being asked to take a photo with the pebble before putting it somewhere new.
The Duchess of Cornwall is taking an RAF Halton pebble on a journey next week and will be dropping it off somewhere along the way...
Follow the pebble's journey as it heads to the coast by following Clarence House on Twitter and Instagram.
