Prince & Patron exhibition unveiled at Buckingham Palace

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall toured the Prince & Patron exhibition at Buckingham Palace earlier this week ahead of its official opening tomorrow.
To mark the 70th birthday of The Prince of Wales this year, the Summer Opening of Buckingham Palace includes a special display of artworks personally selected by The Prince.
The Prince & Patron exhibition showcases a selection of The Prince’s favourite pieces in the Royal Collection alongside works created by young artists supported by three of His Royal Highness's charities: The Royal Drawing School, The Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts and Turquoise Mountain.
The charities were founded by HRH to maintain traditional skills for the benefit of artists and communities across the world.
During the visit to the exhibition, The Prince and The Duchess met artists whose works will be on show, including classical carver Nasser Mansouri from Afghanistan. Nasser was taken on as a woodwork master at the Turquoise Mountain Institute and has since set up his own business.
Buckingham Palace is open to the public from 21st July – 30th September 2018. Visit the Royal Collection Trust to find out more.
