The Prince of Wales spends a final day in Wales

The Prince of Wales spent a final day in Wales today, ending Their Royal Highnesses’ week-long visit to the country.
First stop for His Royal Highness was a visit to the inaugural Llandovery Motorbike Weekend. The event kicked off with a parade of bikes through the town, followed by a lunch in aid of PRIME Cymru, a charity set up by The Prince of Wales in 2001. The Prince of Wales dropped the flag to signal the start of the event before the bikes paraded through the town.
The Prince then attended an awards ceremony at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David and presented honorary degrees to outstanding individuals. His Royal Highness is Patron of the university, which was formed in 2010 through a merger of the University of Wales Lampeter and Trinity University College Carmarthen.
The Prince conferred Professor of Practice statuses before attending a celebratory reception.
Finally, it was onto The New Inn pub in the village of Llanddewi Brefi. Here The Prince of Wales met local residents who make use of the pub’s extra facilities. The book exchange, a darts team and an arts group all meet at The New Inn, which is supported by The Prince’s Pub is the Hub organisation, a group that aims to make pubs the centre of community life.
