The Prince of Wales visits the James Bond set at Pinewood Studios

Today, The Prince of Wales visited Pinewood Studios to tour the set of the 25th James Bond Film.

During the visit, The Prince met apprentices of the British Film Institute, of which His Royal Highness is Patron, who have been working on the film. The BFI Film Academy, now in its 7th year, has 6000 graduates and runs 52 academies across the UK giving 16-19 year olds from all backgrounds an opportunity to learn about filmmaking.  

On a tour of the film set, The Prince looked at a selection of props and watched some of the filming in action. His Royal Highness also met members of the cast and crew, including Daniel Craig, who returns for his fifth film as Ian Fleming’s James Bond 007, and Naomie Harris, who plays Eve Moneypenny.

James Bond is one of the longest running franchises of all time, with twenty-four films produced. Spectre, the 24th James Bond film, was a global box office hit, opening #1 in 81 territories around the world.

In October 2012, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall attended the World Premiere of the 23rd Bond film, Skyfall, at the Royal Albert Hall in London. As Royal Patron of the Intelligence Services, at His Royal Highness’s request the premiere benefitted the charities that support former and serving members of the three intelligence agencies; the Secret Intelligence Service, the Security Service and GCHQ.
