The King and Idris Elba join King's Trust discussion on youth opportunities

His Majesty The King, Idris Elba OBE, and young people attended a discussion on youth opportunity, at St James’s Palace.
His Majesty The King met Idris Elba OBE, alumnus of The King’s Trust (formerly The Prince’s Trust) to discuss the charity’s ongoing work to support young people, creating positive opportunities and initiatives which might help address youth violence in the UK.
A number of young people from the King's Trust shared their personal experiences and encouraged organisations to continue working for positive change.
Following the round table discussions, the young people, youth workers and charity representatives engaged in further discussions with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper, and Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport Lisa Nandy. The King and Idris Elba were also present.
At the conclusion of the session, The King and Mr Elba joined the young people for a group photograph.
