Mr Clive Alderton L.V.O., Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, appointed as Principal Private Secretary to The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall

Mr Clive Alderton L.V.O., Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, has today been appointed as Principal Private Secretary to TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall. Clive will join Their Royal Highnesses' office in August 2015.
Welcoming his appointment, Mr William Nye, The Prince of Wales's outgoing Principal Private Secretary, said today: "We are delighted to welcome Clive back to Their Royal Highnesses Household, where he has previously served with distinction."
Mr Alderton previously served as a Member of The Royal Household from 2006 until 2012, where he was employed as Deputy Private Secretary to TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall 2006 - 2008. He was promoted to the rank of Private Secretary for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs to Their Royal Highnesses for the period 2009-2012.
Mr Alderton joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1986 and has served overseas in Poland, Belgium (European Union), Singapore and France.
Clive said "It is a great honour to be appointed to this role and a pleasure to return to serve Their Royal Highnesses. I very much look forward to re-joining the team at Clarence House".
