Royal Family attendance at D-Day Commemorative events in Normandy

As previously announced, The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, will pay a State Visit to France at the invitation of President François Hollande.
The visit will take place from Thursday 5 June to Saturday 7 June 2014.
The programme will begin with a ceremonial arrival and welcome by President François Hollande at the Arc de Triomphe, followed by meetings at The Elysée Palace. Later that evening there will be a Garden Party celebrating The Queen’s visit hosted by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to France at the British Residence in Paris.
The second day of the visit will start in Normandy, where The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh will attend events to mark the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings. During the day The Queen will attend a service and meet Commonwealth veterans at Bayeux Cemetery before joining the International Event commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Normandy Landings at Sword Beach. That evening Her Majesty and The Duke of Edinburgh will return to Paris for a State Banquet at The Elysée Palace.
On the final day, The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will meet the Mayor of Paris and visit the Marché aux Fleurs which will be named in Her Majesty's honour.
On 5 and 6 June, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will meet several World War II veterans in Normandy when they attend commemoration events to mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day. The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will meet veterans of the Glider Pilot Regiment, The Queen's Own Rifles of Canada, The Parachute Regiment, the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion and many others.
On 6 June, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will meet veterans at a tea party in the town of Arromanches before attending the Commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Normandy Landings at Gold Beach (Arromanches).

Thursday 5th June - PARIS

Her Majesty The Queen accompanied by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh will be received by President François Hollande at the Arc de Triomphe and afterwards for meetings at The Elysée Palace.
Her Majesty The Queen accompanied by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh will attend a Queen's Birthday Garden Party hosted by His Excellency Sir Peter Ricketts, Her Majesty's Ambassador to the French Republic.
Thursday 5th June - NORMANDY
The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, Army Air Corps, and The Duchess of Cornwall will meet veterans of the Glider Pilot Regiment at Pegasus Bridge and lay a wreath at the Glider Pilot Memorial.
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will visit 70th Power Boat Squadron and visit power boats involved in the Normandy Landings.
The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, The Parachute Regiment, and The Duchess of Cornwall will attend a lunch with veterans at Ranville.
The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, The Parachute Regiment, will present, on behalf of The Parachute Regiment, a bust of Major Jack Watson MC to the Commune of Ranville, at the Marie of Ranville.
The Duchess of Cornwall, Colonel-in-Chief, The Queen's Own Rifles of Canada, will meet veterans and serving members of the Regiment and afterwards tour the Juno Beach Centre, Courseulles-sur-Mer.
The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, The Parachute Regiment, will attend a commemorative parachute drop by representatives of British, American, French and Canadian Armed Forces, at Ranville.
The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, The Parachute Regiment, will attend a memorial service to commemorate the actions of Airborne Forces and the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion, at Le Mesnil Bavent, France.
The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, The Parachute Regiment, will attend a Reception, at Breville Les Monts, France.
Friday 6th June - NORMANDY
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will attend the Royal British Legion Service of Remembrance, Bayeux Cathedral.
Her Majesty The Queen accompanied by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will attend the Service of Remembrance at the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery at Bayeux and meet veterans.
Her Majesty The Queen accompanied by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh will attend a lunch for Heads of State and Government given by the President of the French Republic at the Château de Bénouville.
Her Majesty The Queen accompanied by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will attend the Commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the Normandy Landings at Sword Beach (Ouistreham).
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will attend a Ceremony of Remembrance at the Juno Beach Centre, Courseulles-sur-Mer, to commemorate Canada's role in the Normandy Landings.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will attend a veterans' tea party in the town of Arromanches.
